Elena’s Pov
Oliver stood looking at me and the old lady in surprise. I was not only standing up to him but I stood my ground. He looked at Ana with a glare “Who are you? And why are you on my land?” Ana walked to a chair, taking a seat, “Young warlord, who I am is not necessary but who are you and why is your fate tied to hers?” Oliver looked at me, then back to Ana “So…..why is my fate tied to hers?” He asked with a tone of sarcasm. “That’s not for me to say but know that she is someone who you would need by your side,” Ana told Oliver, he stood up in anger and glared at Ana. “Elena, you have two minutes to say your goodbye, meet me outside, and let’s go or else I will come in and drag you back,” Oliver said and stormed off from the house. I exhaled, knowing that I had to go back, I turned to face Ana, she had a smile on her face and I instantly felt bad. For the first time in my life, I found someone who treated me like a human and helped me without anything in return. I held her hands as tears swelled up in my eyes “Why don’t you follow us back to town? It is much better there and you can get a lot of help from me and others. I know you can do things yourself but your body needs to rest sometimes.” She used her shaky hands to wipe the tears rolling down my eyes “You don’t have to worry about me. I will be fine, plus I can’t seem to leave this little cabin, it’s part of me now.” I hugged her, pain shooting out of my eyes in the form of tears. “Shh, child it's alright.” She patted my back to comfort me. “I’m going to come visit you every chance I get, okay?” I said to her and she nodded with a smile. “Now go before the big wolf will bring down my cabin!” She said and I chuckled at her joke. I turned to leave as she waved at me. I glanced back one last time and before I left, I heard her say “I will always be here!” A tear dropped in my eyes as I came out of the cabin. I saw Oliver standing there with three other guards and the one who talked with me when I was in the infirmary. Oliver turned to look at me with a smile, instead of seeing someone who loved me I saw someone I hated. “Are you set?” He asked and I pushed past him with no words. I got into the car, sitting at the extreme. The trip started and the further we got away from the cabin the more eyes flowed down my eyes. I stared at the window all through the ride back and I eventually fell asleep. ******* Hours later, I felt someone trying to lift me and I opened my eyes to see Oliver and I was being lifted by him. “Drop me down, I can walk,” I told him coldly “But you were asleep.” He said to me “Drop me!” I repeated. He stared into my eyes for a while before he proceeded to drop me down. I quickly arranged myself and my clothes and walked into the pack house, fully ignoring him. I walked to my room and slammed the door shut, as I lay on the bed. The events of everything that happened since I met him flowed back. “Ahhhhhh…..I hate him so much!” I yelled out. Just then the door pushed open and the one person I never wanted to see stepped in. “What are you doing here? Please leave.” I said to him and his face fell. “Elena, can we talk?” He said in a soft tone. I threw my face away, refusing to even look at him “No, so please leave my room. I want to take my bath and rest. Today had been a hectic day.” He sighed “I know you are angry but you ran away from the pack. You went missing for over two weeks and you were injured. For crying out loud, I thought you were……dead!” I paused, looking at him but remembering why I ran away in the first place, I got angry. “You caused it. I was running away from the pain you caused. I don’t know why you changed your mind but please, leave me alone. I will always be rejected by you and that’s all” My voice is firm, eyes staring straight at him. I pointed at the door “Please leave!” I said to him. His shoulders dropped in sadness, his eyes filled with guilt but what I felt was anger and pain. “Fine, I will leave but I won’t stop trying to get it right with you,” Oliver said, he then turned to leave. The door shut behind him and all my guards came crashing down. I cried so hard that I had no more tears to pour out. The pain I had to feel alone, was the worst thing I had ever experienced. My chest aches so badly that I couldn’t breathe any longer as I prayed for the moon goddess to put me out of my misery. I sat on the floor crying for about an hour before I got up and walked into the shower. I took my bath, washed my hair, and washed out the dirt from my body. I changed my clothes for nightwear and I went straight to bed without any food as I had no appetite to eat. Third pov A girl wearing a silver gown stared into the moonlight. She radiates power and strength. She inhaled the air around her and stared up into space. Someone appeared behind her, her eyes moved to that side acknowledging the person’s presence. “So…..is she back?” the girl asked “Yes Luna….she is.” Her hands clenched into a fist and her eyes squinting anger, “I guess our work was not yet done.”Elena's PovThe next morningI woke up to the sound of my door creaking open. I groggily opened my eyes to see Oliver standing there with a tray of food. I grumbled at the disturbance, “What do you want?” I asked as I used the pillow to cover my face."Elena, you haven't eaten in over 24 hours. You need to eat something," he said softly.I turned my face away, not wanting to look at him. "Leave me alone, Oliver."He sighed and walked closer to me. "Elena, please. You're weakening yourself. Just eat something."I felt his hand touch my shoulder, and I flinched. "Don't touch me."Oliver's hand dropped, and he set the tray down on my bedside table. "Fine. But know that I'm not giving up on us. We need to talk about what happened.""There's nothing to talk about," I mumbled.Oliver's eyes narrowed. "There's everything to talk about. You ran away, Elena. You were injured and alone for weeks. Do you have any idea how worried I was?"I glared at him. "You were worried? You? After what you d
Elena's PovI couldn't shake Hailey's piercing gaze from my mind, and the unease lingered long after Lucas left. Entering my room, I found Oliver sitting in the armchair, his eyes fixed intently on me."You're still ignoring me, I see," he said softly.I sighed, exhaustion washing over me. "What do you want, Oliver?"Oliver stood up, his movements fluid. "We need to talk about what happened. About why you left.""I left because of what you did," I snapped.Oliver's jaw clenched. "I know I hurt you, Elena. But I want to explain—""No!" I cut him off. "You've had plenty of chances. Now, just leave me alone."Oliver's eyes narrowed “Why are you being so stubborn? Why don't you want to hear me out?” I rolled my eyes as I dropped my bag down on the table, “I just want to be left alone……is it too much to ask?”Oliver stood up “Yes it is…..i'm your mate!” “No…..rejected. So please Leave me the fuck alone.” I challenged him, “So please leave my room.” His eyes narrowed down before he turne
Elena’s POVThe warmth of the morning sun filtered through the trees, casting through the light across the training grounds. I stood in line with the other trainees, my mind still replaying the scene from yesterday. Oliver’s persistence lingered like an unhealed wound, and now Chloe’s sudden appearance left me on edge. The pack members’ stares didn’t help—most of them still saw me as an outsider.“Focus, Elena,” I whispered to myself, gripping the handle of the wooden sword as our instructor barked orders.“Push harder, Elena!” his voice cut through my thoughts. I swung with more force, feeling the strain in my muscles. Each strike was a release, a reminder that I could still fight, that I still had control over some part of my life.As I went through the drills, I caught sight of a figure watching from the edge of the training ground—Oliver. His gaze was unyielding, intense, and unsettling. Every time he watched, it was as if he were silently pleading with me, urging me to let him ba
Elena’s povI woke up, already tired of the day and bored about everything. There wasn't any training today, so I decided to tour the pack house where I stayed.I got up from the bed, said a little prayer to the moon goddess and then walked into my bathroom to get ready for the day. I hummed as I showered. When I was done with my bath, I dried my body, applied lotion, and wore my underwear. I put on a black jean and a black t-shirt which was big for me but that's how I liked it.As I walked out of the room, my face collided with someone, the person's chest—-firm but soft. As I massaged my head from the little pain the Collision brought “ouch….watch where you are going!”“I think you should say that to yourself” I looked up to see Lucas with a smile on his face, I rolled my eyes as I shoved past him walking down the hall and he quietly followed behind.“Why are you even here? We have no trains today!” I inquired as he smiled gently at me which made me a little uncomfortable. He shru
Elena’s POVThe hallway seemed quiet as I walked back to my room, yet Lucas’s words stayed with me. “I’ll always be watching, ready to defend you.” A chill ran down my spine. I couldn’t tell if it was meant to be comforting or unsettling, but either way, it was strange.Shaking off the thought, I decided to continue my exploration of the pack house. There was an area I hadn’t been to yet, tucked away down a narrow, dimly lit corridor. I had heard whispers from the other pack members—something about an old archive room. It sounded intriguing.I walked down the hallway, my curiosity building. Just as I turned the corner, a familiar figure stepped into view. It was Chloe, Oliver’s sister. She hadn’t noticed me, but her intense gaze was locked on something hidden at the end of the hallway. For a split second, I saw a glimmer of what looked like frustration—or was it fear? Before I could make sense of it, Chloe turned around, her eyes narrowing as she caught sight of me. “Elena,” she said
Elena’s POVThe chill of the morning air was nothing compared to the storm of emotions brewing inside me. After yesterday’s confrontation with Chloe and my conversation with Lucas, I felt more trapped than ever. The realization of Oliver’s hold on my life was becoming a suffocating weight, and each glance from the pack members only deepened the feeling of isolation.I wandered through the forest surrounding the pack grounds, needing space to think. But no matter how far I went, it seemed that Oliver was always there, lingering in the shadows of my mind. The guilt in his gaze, the attempts to “protect” me—it all felt too little, too late. What I needed was clarity, freedom, and a chance to decide for myself. The rustling of leaves pulled me from my thoughts. I turned, seeing Lucas making his way toward me, his usual calm smile in place.“Didn’t expect to find you here,” he said, his tone light. “You’ve been quiet since yesterday.”I shrugged, not meeting his eyes. “Sometimes quiet is n
Elena’s POVThe moonlight streamed through my window as I lay in bed, staring at the ceiling. Beauty’s words echoed through my mind, each one tugging at my curiosity like a thread unraveling. Spells, secrets, prisoners… the hidden room at the end of the hallway suddenly felt like the epicenter of everything strange about this place. If there were prisoners in the pack house, held under some kind of spell or restraint, what did that mean for everyone here—and for me?I tossed and turned, my mind racing, until sleep became impossible. Sitting up, I glanced at the clock. It was just past midnight, the pack house cloaked in silence. Maybe it was the darkness of the night or the thick shroud of mystery hanging over me, but a new resolve blossomed within me. I had to find out what was behind that door. Beauty’s warning lingered in the back of my mind, but I knew I couldn’t ignore the mystery any longer.Quietly, I got out of bed, throwing on a light jacket and slipping into my shoes. I open
Elena’s POVThe days following my confrontation with Oliver passed in a blur. I threw myself into tasks around the pack, desperate to distract myself from the storm of emotions that brewed every time I thought of his words. His admission of regret, of realizing he’d made a mistake, had stirred emotions in me I wasn’t ready to face. The pack sensed my unease, though they never spoke about it. Only Beauty dared to approach me with genuine concern, offering her silent companionship in the moments I felt close to breaking. It was comforting, having her nearby—a reminder that I wasn’t as alone as I sometimes felt. One late afternoon, as I sat on the hill overlooking the forest, Beauty appeared beside me, a gentle smile on her face. “You’ve been so lost in thought lately, Elena. Is everything alright?”I let out a sigh, looking out over the trees. “It’s complicated, Beauty. I thought I’d moved on, that I’d buried the pain. But then Oliver…” I hesitated, my voice trailing off.Beauty didn’t
Elena’s POVThe aftermath of battle was always heavy with emotion, a strange mix of relief and despair. As the last rays of sunlight dipped below the horizon, casting the battlefield in an eerie twilight, the stench of blood lingered in the air, mingling with the quiet groans of the injured.Oliver’s arm was still wrapped tightly around me as we walked back to the packhouse. His warmth and strength anchored me, even as the adrenaline of the fight began to fade.“Are you hurt?” he asked, his voice low and rough from exhaustion. His sharp eyes scanned me, lingering on the shallow claw marks on my arm.“It’s nothing,” I replied, brushing it off. “You’re the one who looks like he went ten rounds with a rogue Alpha.”He chuckled softly, though the sound was strained. “I’ve had worse. Still, I can’t believe you disobeyed me, Elena.”I opened my mouth to retort, but he stopped abruptly, pulling me close so we were face to face. His expression was serious, his hazel eyes searching mine.“You
Elena’s POVThe silence after Daniel’s departure was deafening. I paced the room, each step echoing against the wooden floor as Beauty’s wide, tear-filled eyes followed my movements. My bond with Oliver throbbed faintly—still there, but the pain I’d felt moments ago had left an ominous shadow. I clenched my hands into fists, forcing myself to remain calm.“Elena, please sit,” Beauty begged, her voice trembling. “You’re making me more nervous.”I paused, taking a deep breath to steady my racing thoughts. Sitting wasn’t an option. The growing unease in my chest demanded action, but I was trapped, bound by Oliver’s order to stay here.“You don’t understand, Beauty,” I murmured, my gaze fixed on the window. The forest stood still, deceptively peaceful. “When you’re bonded, you feel everything. Pain, fear, even—” I stopped, swallowing hard. “Even death.”Her hand flew to her mouth, stifling a gasp. “Don’t say that! He’s strong, Elena. He’ll come back.”I nodded, forcing a tight smile, but
Elena’s POVThe peaceful warmth of the night lingered even as the first light of dawn began to peek through the heavy curtains. Oliver lay beside me, his features softened in sleep. He looked so different like this—vulnerable, unburdened. My fingers itched to trace the lines of his jaw, but I stopped myself, not wanting to disturb the rare moment of calm. The responsibilities of the pack would soon weigh on us again, but for now, I allowed myself the indulgence of watching him. My heart ached with a quiet joy, a feeling I hadn’t dared to dream of before. But as much as I wanted to stay in this cocoon of safety, the world outside wouldn’t wait. I slipped out of bed, careful not to wake him, and wrapped myself in a soft robe. The fire had burned down to embers, the room still faintly warm.Padding quietly to the window, I pulled back the curtain just enough to peer outside. The horizon was streaked with soft pink and gold, the forest bathed in an ethereal glow. It was beautiful, but the
Elena’s POVThe soft glow of candlelight filled Oliver’s private chambers as I entered, my steps hesitant yet drawn toward the warmth he radiated. After the chaos of the past few days, this space felt like an oasis, separated from the weight of duty and danger.Oliver stood by the window, his tall frame illuminated by the pale moonlight. His back was to me, but I could feel his tension even from across the room. He was always strong for everyone else, carrying the burdens of the pack on his shoulders, but tonight, I could sense that weight pressing down on him.“Oliver,” I called softly, my voice breaking the silence. He turned to face me, his eyes tired but softening as they met mine. “Elena,” he said, his tone filled with relief. He crossed the room in long strides, reaching for me as though he needed to confirm I was really there. His hands cupped my face, his thumbs brushing lightly against my cheeks. “Are you okay?” he asked, his gaze searching mine.I nodded, placing my hands ov
Elena’s POVThe infirmary was eerily quiet as the chaos outside settled. The muffled cries of the injured and the hurried whispers of healers were all that remained of the earlier battle. I sat beside Lucas’s bed, my mind still racing with everything that had happened. He was pale but stable, his breathing shallow as he rested. The image of his bloodied body being carried in by Oliver haunted me. The battle had been brutal, and while I knew this wasn’t the first time Lucas had fought to protect the pack, seeing him like this tore at my heart. His earlier confession echoed in my mind, and I couldn’t shake the weight of his words.“Elena?” Oliver’s voice broke through my thoughts.I looked up to find him standing in the doorway, his shirt torn and stained with blood—not all of it his own. His face was grim, exhaustion evident in his every movement.“How is he?” he asked, stepping closer.“The healers say he’ll be okay,” I replied, my voice barely above a whisper. “But it’ll take time.”
Oliver’s POVThe air outside the bunker was thick with the stench of blood and sweat, the ground littered with the fallen bodies of both friend and foe. The night sky, usually calm and serene, was a battlefield itself, filled with the echoes of howls and snarls. My heart pounded as I carried Lucas’s unconscious body through the chaos, Elena by my side. She had been silent since we left the bunker, her face pale, her eyes filled with worry. I could feel the tension radiating from her, but there was no time to address it now. Lucas needed help, and the pack needed me to lead them through this attack.“Stay close,” I instructed her, glancing back to make sure she was keeping up. She nodded, her hand gripping Beauty’s arm for support. We reached the infirmary, a makeshift structure that was now overwhelmed with injured wolves. Healers rushed around, their hands slick with blood as they worked tirelessly to save lives.“Alpha,” one of the healers, Elara, approached me, her face drawn with
Elena’s POVThe bunker felt stifling, its thick walls doing little to calm the turmoil brewing inside me. I sat on the cold stone bench, fidgeting with the hem of my dress as Oliver paced back and forth. Beauty clung to my side, her trembling hands clutching mine for reassurance. The distant echoes of howls and snarls reverberated through the underground chamber. My heart clenched with every sound, each one a reminder of the chaos above.“Oliver,” I finally said, my voice trembling. “We can’t just sit here. People are out there risking their lives for us.”Oliver stopped his pacing and turned to me, his expression a mix of frustration and determination. “Elena, I need you to stay here. Your safety is my top priority.”“But Lucas is out there,” I argued, my voice rising. “And so is the rest of the pack. I can’t just sit here while—”“Enough!” Oliver’s voice thundered, silencing me. He ran a hand through his hair, his face softening slightly as he approached me. “Elena, I know you care
Elena’s povThe howl of war! What was going on! Lucas and I looked around as he got on his defense stance, pushing me behind him and protecting me. We saw different guards running towards the loud howl. All of them ready for war. “Elena!“ I heard Oliver calling to me, I looked up to him. He walked toward me in haste as his face had worry written all over it.“What are you still doing here? Lucas….take her to her room and keep her safe, got it?” He commanded and Lucas nodded.“Oliver…..!” I called out and he paused and turns towards me, “be careful!“ I said in a low tune as he nodded, he hugged me and gave me a quick kiss.“Lucas get her to safety!” He commanded and walked out. Lucas held my hands as he dragged me up the stairs. I did not protest as I followed with ease. We got to my room and I could see Beauty sitting on the bed and as she had worry in her eyes.“Elena!“ she called out, her voice filled with worry, “Oh thank God, you are safe!”We hugged each other, while Lucas st
Elena's PovAfter the day’s training, I decided to take a walk through the garden to clear my head. The air was crisp, and the scent of blooming roses mingled with the soft rustle of leaves. It was peaceful—a stark contrast to the thoughts swirling in my mind.Lucas.No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t ignore the tension between us. Ever since he saw me with Oliver in the garden, he’d been avoiding me, and it hurt more than I wanted to admit. Despite the happiness I felt with Oliver, there was an ache I couldn’t shake whenever I thought about Lucas.I stopped by the fountain, running my fingers along the cool marble edge, my reflection rippling in the water. My thoughts were interrupted by the crunch of footsteps behind me. I turned sharply, my heart racing.Lucas stood a few feet away, his arms crossed and his expression unreadable.“You’re getting better at training,” he said, his voice calm but distant.“Thank you,” I replied, unsure of what to say.For a moment, we stood in sil
