Elena’s POV

The hallway seemed quiet as I walked back to my room, yet Lucas’s words stayed with me. “I’ll always be watching, ready to defend you.” A chill ran down my spine. I couldn’t tell if it was meant to be comforting or unsettling, but either way, it was strange.

Shaking off the thought, I decided to continue my exploration of the pack house. There was an area I hadn’t been to yet, tucked away down a narrow, dimly lit corridor. I had heard whispers from the other pack members—something about an old archive room. It sounded intriguing.

I walked down the hallway, my curiosity building. Just as I turned the corner, a familiar figure stepped into view. It was Chloe, Oliver’s sister. She hadn’t noticed me, but her intense gaze was locked on something hidden at the end of the hallway. For a split second, I saw a glimmer of what looked like frustration—or was it fear?

Before I could make sense of it, Chloe turned around, her eyes narrowing as she caught sight of me. “Elena,” she said

Elena’s POVThe chill of the morning air was nothing compared to the storm of emotions brewing inside me. After yesterday’s confrontation with Chloe and my conversation with Lucas, I felt more trapped than ever. The realization of Oliver’s hold on my life was becoming a suffocating weight, and each glance from the pack members only deepened the feeling of isolation.I wandered through the forest surrounding the pack grounds, needing space to think. But no matter how far I went, it seemed that Oliver was always there, lingering in the shadows of my mind. The guilt in his gaze, the attempts to “protect” me—it all felt too little, too late. What I needed was clarity, freedom, and a chance to decide for myself. The rustling of leaves pulled me from my thoughts. I turned, seeing Lucas making his way toward me, his usual calm smile in place.“Didn’t expect to find you here,” he said, his tone light. “You’ve been quiet since yesterday.”I shrugged, not meeting his eyes. “Sometimes quiet is n

Elena’s POVThe moonlight streamed through my window as I lay in bed, staring at the ceiling. Beauty’s words echoed through my mind, each one tugging at my curiosity like a thread unraveling. Spells, secrets, prisoners… the hidden room at the end of the hallway suddenly felt like the epicenter of everything strange about this place. If there were prisoners in the pack house, held under some kind of spell or restraint, what did that mean for everyone here—and for me?I tossed and turned, my mind racing, until sleep became impossible. Sitting up, I glanced at the clock. It was just past midnight, the pack house cloaked in silence. Maybe it was the darkness of the night or the thick shroud of mystery hanging over me, but a new resolve blossomed within me. I had to find out what was behind that door. Beauty’s warning lingered in the back of my mind, but I knew I couldn’t ignore the mystery any longer.Quietly, I got out of bed, throwing on a light jacket and slipping into my shoes. I open

Elena’s POVThe days following my confrontation with Oliver passed in a blur. I threw myself into tasks around the pack, desperate to distract myself from the storm of emotions that brewed every time I thought of his words. His admission of regret, of realizing he’d made a mistake, had stirred emotions in me I wasn’t ready to face. The pack sensed my unease, though they never spoke about it. Only Beauty dared to approach me with genuine concern, offering her silent companionship in the moments I felt close to breaking. It was comforting, having her nearby—a reminder that I wasn’t as alone as I sometimes felt. One late afternoon, as I sat on the hill overlooking the forest, Beauty appeared beside me, a gentle smile on her face. “You’ve been so lost in thought lately, Elena. Is everything alright?”I let out a sigh, looking out over the trees. “It’s complicated, Beauty. I thought I’d moved on, that I’d buried the pain. But then Oliver…” I hesitated, my voice trailing off.Beauty didn’t

Elena’s POVThe days following my conversation with Oliver were an emotional labyrinth. I went about my duties, often finding solace in Beauty’s quiet presence, yet I felt his gaze lingering whenever we crossed paths. He kept his distance as promised, but it was clear he hadn’t given upon proving himself. And despite my resolve, part of me felt drawn to him, haunted by what we had once shared and what he claimed to regret. One morning, as dawn broke over the pack lands, Lucas found me near the edge of the forest, collecting herbs Beauty had shown me. His expression was softer than usual, an unusual vulnerability in his eyes.“Elena,” he said, clearing his throat. “Can we talk?”I glanced up, surprised by his tone. “Of course.”He hesitated before speaking, his gaze locked on the forest. “I’ve been by Oliver’s side through everything—the battles, the decisions, even the mistakes. I thought I understood him completely, but lately…” His voice trailed off, and he let out a heavy sigh. “La

Elena’s povI woke up the next morning, the talk I had with Oliver still rings deep in my head. I ran my hand through my head, sat on my bed waiting for it to actually pass by but it didn't. I had training today and I couldn't sit here forever. I picked up myself and walked to the bathroom to freshen up. When I was done with it, I quickly dried my body and walked out of the bathroom with my towel tied to my body. I stopped on my tracks when an unexpected person was found casually sitting on my couch——Chloe. What was she doing here? Did she hear about the conversation between me and her brother? No one in the pack knows what's going on between us as we have both kept our distance since I disappeared.I tried to avoid situations that would earn me his attention because rumors were already spreading that he had Lucas—the number one fighter in the pack as my personal bodyguard. A Choking gaze landed on me, she gave me a smile which brought out her dimples. I won’t lie, it made her more

Elena’s POVThe rest of training went smoothly, but I couldn’t shake off the weird feeling from my earlier encounter with Chloe. Beauty’s words lingered in my head — “She’s been planning Hailey’s marriage to Oliver since forever.” It made sense now why Chloe had shown up this morning, asserting her dominance and subtly reminding me of her place in the pack. She didn’t need to say it outright; her body language did the talking. After the session ended, I was gathering my things when Lucas approached me again. His dark eyes softened as he looked down at me, and I couldn’t help but notice the way he always seemed on guard, always watching.“Hey,” he said, almost too casually. “Walk with me for a moment?”I hesitated, glancing around. “Is this… about earlier?”Lucas nodded. “There’s something you need to know. Chloe isn’t one to mess around. She’s fiercely loyal to her own agenda, and right now, that agenda includes securing a marriage for Hailey with Oliver. You being here — you’re a thr

The pack is buzzing with excitement.”I stood abruptly, the chair scraping against the floor. “She thinks

Elena's PovAfter the day’s training, I decided to take a walk through the garden to clear my head. The air was crisp, and the scent of blooming roses mingled with the soft rustle of leaves. It was peaceful—a stark contrast to the thoughts swirling in my mind.Lucas.No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t ignore the tension between us. Ever since he saw me with Oliver in the garden, he’d been avoiding me, and it hurt more than I wanted to admit. Despite the happiness I felt with Oliver, there was an ache I couldn’t shake whenever I thought about Lucas.I stopped by the fountain, running my fingers along the cool marble edge, my reflection rippling in the water. My thoughts were interrupted by the crunch of footsteps behind me. I turned sharply, my heart racing.Lucas stood a few feet away, his arms crossed and his expression unreadable.“You’re getting better at training,” he said, his voice calm but distant.“Thank you,” I replied, unsure of what to say.For a moment, we stood in sil

Elena’s povAfter the meeting, things between Oliver and I took a magical turn. The whole pack knew I was going to be Luna and everyone was beginning to respect me—-well not everyone. Hailey and Chloe still hate my guts and I do everything to avoid them. Speaking of avoid…..Lucas has been avoiding me for the longest time. We had not had any talk after he saw Oliver and me in the garden. It was weird but I had not gotten the chance to talk to him about it yet.As I sat down on my bed wearing my sneakers, and getting ready for training, my door flew open and I did not need a prophet to tell me who it was.“Let's go….we are late!” I heard Beauty’s tiny voice squealing.“Good morning to you too,” I said, my tone laced with sarcasm.“Haha….now get up and let’s go!” She folded her hands. I stood up and walked to the mirror to look at myself. “Beauty!” I called without looking back at her. “Yes,” she replied, sitting down on the bed as I did my hair.“Do you think Lucas is angry with me?

Elena’s POVThe next morning, sunlight poured through my window, warming my face and pulling me out of a deep, peaceful sleep. I stretched, reliving the moments from the previous night. My heart was light, a sensation I hadn’t felt in so long. Oliver’s words replayed in my mind—his apology, his promise. And the kiss. My cheeks flushed at the thought. But as the warm feeling lingered, so did the weight of reality. Loving Oliver wasn’t just about the two of us; it was about navigating the storm we’d unleashed. What had he wanted to say?A knock interrupted my thoughts.“Come in,” I called, sitting up and brushing my hair back.Beauty entered, her cheerful smile brightening the room. “Good morning, Luna,” she teased, her tone playful yet kind.I laughed softly. “Don’t start with me, Beauty.”She approached with a tray of tea and toast. “You’re glowing this morning. Elena’s PovThe music started and we began swaying to the beat. Everyone's eyes were on us and I began to feel kind of shy. This was also the first time we were in the same proximity together, this close, after the ray of events that happened between the both of us.“You look stunning!” I heard Oliver said and I looked up into his eyes. His beautiful deep black eyes had some spark in them unlike other days. “Thank you….…You don’t look bad yourself.” I said to him, still blushing at his compliment. He smiled at me as we continued dancing.I stared around the room and everyone’s attention was on us. I could see Beauty at the side with a huge grin, Hailey and Chloe were glaring at me and if looks could kill I should be dead by now.I was getting nervous, this is surely going to cause a huge problem for me. Consider them a gift.”I blinked in disbelief. “A gift? But why?”She smiled mysteriously, brushing a strand of her silvery hair behind her ear. “You’ll understand in time, my dear. For now, let’s just say you’re meant to have them.”Beauty was practically vibrating with excitement as she rushed forward to examine the dresses more closely. One was a deep emerald green, shimmering like leaves kissed by morning dew, while the other was an elegant shade of midnight blue, adorned with tiny silver stars that seemed to glow under the dim light of the shop.“These are perfect!” Beauty exclaimed, spinning around to face me. “Elena, you have to wear the blue one—it’ll look amazing on you!”I hesitated, reaching out to touch the fabric. It was softer than I’d imagined, a

I walked out of my room to go look for beauty, we needed to start planning. I went straight to the kitchen but I bumped into someone “I’m sorry!” I apologized quickly.“Arghh, are you blind!” I heard the voice say and I instantly froze. I wasn’t watching where I was going.” I tried to apologize as I dusted off some invisible particles from her dress.“Don’t touch me…. You…. You Rogue.” Her eyes glared at me. At the side, I could see Chloe standing and smiling at the drama.“I wonder why Oliver still keeps you around. Just count your days, soon you will be living like the trash you are——The dump!” She shoved me aside and walked out, while Chloe snickered behind her.I took a deep breath “They are not worth it…..” I said to myself multip
