Third person pov

The air in the Full Moon pack house thrummed with a nervous energy. Lucas paced, his jaw tight. Daniel checked and rechecked the positions on the crudely drawn map of the Blue Moon pack territory.

Their plan was bold, bordering on suicidal. They were going to infiltrate the Blue Moon pack, rescue Sam, Beauty’s sister, and Nate, Lucas’s estranged brother, and then…escape. It was a reckless repeat of their previous escapade, only this time, the stakes were higher. The Blue Moon pack might be prepared.

"Alright," Lucas finally said, stopping his pacing. "We both know the plan. Get in, grab Sam and Nate, get out. Full Moon guards will be waiting outside the Blue Moon territory line. If things go south, they'll provide cover."

Daniel nodded. "We need to be quick and quiet. No heroics. We get them out, then we fight if we have to."

Oliver nodded, his expression grim. "The element of surprise will be our only advantage. Let’s not waste it."

Lucas’s povDaniel and I finally got through the right security of the Blue Moon pack. We were safe, at least for now. We quickly agreed to split up. Every second counted. "Stay safe Lucas," Daniel said, his eyes full of worry. "For our pack." I nodded and took off, my wolf instincts pulling me towards the little cottage where Nate and Helen lived. My heart hammered in my chest with each stride. I had to get Nate out of here, away from the shadow of the Blue Moon pack and their brutal way of life. I burst through the woods, reaching the familiar clearing where their cottage stood. I was about to push open the door when I froze.Through the window, I saw him. The same muscle-clad brute I'd seen lurking around here last time. He was inside, talking to Helen. I ducked behind a thick oak tree, its rough bark digging into my back. I needed to hear what they were saying. The man's voice was low and harsh. "...report to the officials that Lucas snuck into the pack previously."My blood ran

Daniel’s povThe Blue Moon market buzzed with the same noise and smells as before. But today, it felt different. It felt heavy. I was here for Sam, Beauty’s sister. The last time I was here, I’d promised myself I'd get her out. She was trapped, a pawn in some twisted game of the Blue Moon pack.Beauty’s face which was etched with worry flashed through my mind again and I knew that I needed to get her sister to safety. Even though she had betrayed us, she still did all of this for her sister.I scanned the stalls, the faces, the crowds. Nothing. No sign of her. My heart sank. Maybe she was gone. Maybe I was too late.I was about to turn and leave, when I saw it: a back door to a small restaurant creaking open. And then, there she was. Sam, looking tired and worn, carrying a bucket of dirty dishwater. As she poured it out, I rushed towards her."Sam! We have to go. Now," I said, grabbing her arm gently. Her eyes widened with surprise. "Daniel? What are you doing here? What if someone is

Elena’s povThe air crackled with tension, thick enough to choke on. My heart hammered against my ribs, a frantic drumbeat against the backdrop of nervous whispers and the heavy thud of armored boots. My face burned under the linen scarf Oliver had insisted I wear. It hid my features, disguised me as just another random mage, but did nothing to reduce the tremor in my hands.Lucas stood beside me, an epitome of calm strength. His gaze, sharp and unwavering, met the eyes of each guard as they were brought forward. They were the 'chosen' ones, the unfortunate few singled out for suspicion, their faces a mask of forced confidence that barely concealed the fear lurking beneath. I could feel their anxiety; it was a tangible thing, buzzing in the air like a disturbed hive. My role was simple, yet crucial. I was playing a key role today. My power, the ability to detect and unravel magical disguises, was the only thing standing between us and a Blue Moon pack invasion. The thought sent a s

Elena’s pov The shadows of the hall still clung to me as Lucas walked me to my room. My head throbbed, a dull ache that mirrored the exhaustion in my bones. Identifying the shapeshifters amongst Oliver's soldiers had been grueling, a mental tug-of-war that left me drained. But we’d done it. We'd weeded out the enemy within the soldiers."You’ve done well, Elena," Lucas said softly, pausing outside my door. "You saved lives tonight."I managed a weak smile. "But It's not over yet.""No, it's not," he agreed, his expression turning somber.“How’s Beauty?” I asked, the question has always been on my mind but I never really asked. I tried going to see her a few times but I found myself retracing my steps back to my room. "Is she alright?"Lucas sighed, running a hand through his dark hair. "Oliver released her, but she's confined to her room. He says it's for her own protection and yours too, a hidden room within the pack house. She hasn’t left it since."That didn't sound good but we co

Lucas’s povThe air in Elena’s room was tense after the spell she casted. We could already hear the effects outside. Spies had already began to pass out and innocent villagers had no idea what was going on.Oliver took a deep breath, mentally preparing himself for the fight outside and the mass arrest that would happen. Daniel, who stood beside him looked a bit afraid but nevertheless ready. My eyes moved to Elena who was passed out on her chair, her head on the table. I tightened my grip on my small dagger and looked at Oliver.“Let’s go.” I said and Oliver gave me a pleading look. I instantly knew what he meant. He wanted me to stay with her."Guard Elena with your life, Lucas. You have to be here with her." I was a bit hesitant. I wanted to fight side by side with him but in the end, I’m protecting Elena.“You know I won’t let anything happen to her.” I assured him, my head bowed slightly in respect. He gave me a grateful nod before heading out with Daniel right behind him.I turne

Oliver’s povThe air in the village hung thick with confusion and fear. My nostrils flared, picking up the sharp scent of panic mixed with the metallic tang of blood. Sprawled across the cobblestones, slumped against market stalls, were the spies. Elena’s spell had done its work.My soldiers, their eyes glowing with controlled fury, were efficient and brutal. Each spy, still unconscious under the lingering effects of the magic, was hauled up, their limbs dangling like puppets with cut strings, and dragged towards the prison grounds. A grim satisfaction settled in my gut. At least this threat was contained, for now.Elena… my heart clenched. Casting that kind of spell, especially for the first time, was incredibly draining. I hoped she was fine. The thought of her going through all of this just to protect the pack made me love her even more. Heavens, I loved her. She was the only missing link in my life, the only one I needed. For a second, my mind shifted to Lucas who I had left Elena

Chloe’s pov My heart hammered against my ribs, a frantic drummer trapped in a cage. I slammed the door shut and twisted the lock, the flimsy click echoing in the otherwise silent room. Oliver knew. He actually knew about the spies. How could I have been so blind? So calm? The long hours of intricate planning, of subtle manipulation, all on the edge of collapse because I’d failed to notice my own brother sniffing around.Sweat slicked my palms as I paced, my mind a whirlwind of panicked calculations. My brother, Oliver, Alpha of the Full Moon Pack, was not a fool. He was perceptive, sharp, and fiercely loyal to his pack, the pack I was actively trying to undermine.A soft scratching at the window startled me. Jax. He moved with a silent grace that belied his formidable strength, sliding the window open and slipping into the room like a shadow. His eyes, the color of a stormy sea, met mine with an unnerving intensity."What's the next move, Chloe?" he asked, his voice a low rumble t

Beauty’s povThe chaos erupted like a storm, a furious tempest brewing just beyond my locked door. I was still under room arrest, a strong cage of my own making, for the foolish choices I’d made. Thankfully Oliver was merciful enough not to let me rot in the dungeon. Rather he kept me here and I was being fed well. The only thing was that I’ve not left the four walls of the room. But the shouting, the frantic calls, the pounding of boots – it was impossible to ignore. My heart hammered against my ribs, a frantic drummer urging me to action.I crept to the door, the heavy oak a tangible barrier between me and whatever madness reigned outside. The two guards stationed there were gone, their duty seemingly forgotten in the face of something more pressing. Impulsively, I reached for the handle, testing it. Unlocked. They were simply gone.I slipped out, a ghost in a place I once called my own home, and caught a glimpse of one of the soldiers sprinting towards the village. "What's happe

  • Mated To The Rejected Omega    Chapter 159

Oliver’s povThe wind whipped past my ears as I ran, my paws pounding against the earth. I shifted back to human form just before I reached the edge of Full Moon territory, grabbing the clothes I usually stashed there for the days I went out running and needed to shift. The shift was always jarring, a sharp reminder of the duality that lived within me. But tonight, the physical discomfort was nothing compared to the weight in my heart. Why Lucas? That was the question that kept clawing at me. Why was Lucas the one who had to have the vision? The vision of how to save my Elena. It should have been me. I was hers, Elena's mate, and the right person to save her. I shook my head. I tried to focus on the issue at hand. I need to save my people. My steps slowed as I approached the main clearing. The air felt heavy, lifeless. Daniel and Beauty met me at the edge, their faces etched with worry."Oliver," Beauty’s voice was strained. "It's worse than we thought. They're...empty. Basically she

Third person pov Lucas and Oliver sat stiffly on the wooden chairs in the meditation room of Willow’s temple. The air hung heavy with the scent of incense and old stone. They had been there for a long while and it felt like an eternity, waiting for Willow, the goddess, to give them some sort of guidance or help.Lucas shifted in his seat, the leather of his jacket creaking softly. He glanced at Oliver, whose face was a mask of strong determination. Lucas wasn't so good at patience. He was a man of action, a protector. This waiting felt useless, like a waste of precious time.Oliver, sensing his friend's restlessness, offered a small, almost unnoticeable nod. He understood. Tension had been simmering within the Full Moon pack for a while now. Sickness was spreading, weakening even the strongest wolves. And Elena, the Luna of the pack, Oliver's Mate and Lucas’s friend was in grave danger. Fear filled them both. But each tried to keep a strong front.Just as Lucas was about to break th

Chloe’s povAs we made our way through the forest, my mind raced with worry. Betrayal had a way of souring even the simplest things. As I watched my people being struck with sickness yet I couldn’t do anything to help them without hiding like a criminal. All I wanted was to rule my pack, to lead them rightly but seeing them almost dead changed something in me and I was determined to get help for them.Jax walked beside me, his jaw tight, his senses clearly on high alert. We were searching for him – the magician, the source of the curse that was slowly strangling the Full Moon pack. We needed to find him, to bargain, to do whatever it took to save my pack, even if it meant aligning ourselves with him and sacrificing Oliver, my brother and that rogue, Elena."He has to be somewhere around here," Jax muttered, his eyes scanning the dense trees. "The energy feels strong. Plus we have been walking for hours. It has to be somewhere here."I nodded, trying to ignore the guilt that gnawed at

Elena’s povI tugged on the ropes that held my hands and feet in tact and it was still as tight as ever. The magician wasn’t back yet and I knew that had to be my chance. The flickering candlelight cast long, dancing shadows, making the already unsettling scene even more terrifying. I strained against the thick rope binding my wrists to each other, the coarse fibers biting into my skin. My ankles were similarly secured. I had to get free.My mind raced. How long have I been here? How many hours? It felt like an eternity. I writhed against the ropes again, a desperate, futile effort. Tears welled in my eyes. Then, a memory flickered in my mind – the dungeon lock. It was a lock that didn’t have a space for a key. I had been too weak to think much of it, but somehow, focusing my energy, I had managed to unlock it. It was a faint connection to the power I didn’t know I had, a sliver of power that hadn't been completely suppressed. Maybe…just maybe…Taking a deep breath, I concentrated o

Oliver’s povLucas and I were heading to the elven village, a place filled with mystery and whispers of ancient magic. The thought of Elena being in more danger every second scared me even more, and the weight of that responsibility felt like a physical burden.Lucas moved boldly ahead. He'd been to the village once before, with Elena, to visit Willow's temple. I envied his ease. He'd known Elena more, seen her laugh more freely, shared experiences I was just beginning to build. I was the mate, the destined partner, but sometimes I felt like I was playing catch-up.As we finally reached the village, the air here hummed with a subtle energy, a palpable sense of magic that tickled my skin.Lucas smiled. "There she is!" He gestured towards a young elven girl standing near the entrance to the temple, her eyes wide and bright. She couldn't have been older than ten, with hair tied up and decorated with flowers and a dress woven from a strange material."Hello!" Lucas called, his voice warm.

  • Mated To The Rejected Omega    Chapter 154

Chloe’s povThe stench of sickness hung heavy in the air. I could see the paleness of their faces, the feverish glint in their eyes – the curse was eating them alive. My pack. The pack I wanted to lead."We have to help them, Jax," I pleaded, my voice barely a whisper against the rising wind. My throat felt tight, choked with helplessness. "I can't just stand here and watch them die."Jax's grip on my arm tightened, pulling me further into the shadows of the alleyway. His eyes scanned the street, sharp and alert. "Chloe, we talked about this. We're wanted here. Walking around like this is a death wish.""But-"He cut me off, his voice firm, but laced with a hint of desperation. "No buts, Chloe. Look."He nodded subtly towards the main street. Emerging from the pack house, a group of soldiers, clad in dark leather armor, marched in formation. Their faces were grim, their hands resting on the hilts of their swords."There they are," Jax said, his voice low. "They're might be looking fo

  • Mated To The Rejected Omega    Chapter 153

Oliver's POVThe scent was gone. Wiped clean. I snarled, frustration clawing at my throat. Elena had been here, I knew it. The lingering sweetness of her soap, the faint air of her own unique scent – it had all been so clear just moments ago. But now? Nothing. Scattered, like dust in the wind.“Damn it!” I roared, kicking at a fallen log. The wood splintered under my force, a small satisfaction in the face of this overwhelming helplessness.Lucas placed a hand on my shoulder, his touch grounding me. “Easy, Oliver. We’ll find her.”I shook my head, running a hand through my already dishevelled hair. “They knew we were coming. They scattered her scent, covered their tracks. This isn't some amateur kidnapper, Lucas. Whoever took Elena is smart, organized.”"But how? How could they have anticipated us?" Lucas muttered, his brow furrowed in thought.I paced back and forth, my wolf instincts screaming at me. I could feel Elena’s presence, a faint echo in the forest's heartbeat. She was clos

Elena’s pov“Tell me one thing," I said, my voice barely a whisper. "If I take off the chain, will you let me go if I don’t like what you have to say?"He chuckled, the sound devoid of any warmth. "I am a man of deals, Elena. I tell you all, and you get to leave after. But I will not force you to do anything else. Do we have an agreement?"It was a gamble, a desperate one. But I could not ignore a chance to save my people."Fine," I said, my voice stronger this time, laced with steely resolve. "We have an agreement."Something in me gnawed at me. This man, this magician didn’t seem like he was going to let me go. Was I going to trust the words of a man who didn’t waste any time in abducting me? A man who cursed an entire pack of innocent werewolves for whatever reason. My head pounded feverishly as it crossed my mind that I would regret my choice. The second I pulled the Moon Chain off my neck. I was slammed to the wall by an invisible force. My throat began to tighten and I could bar

Beauty’s povThe weight of it all crashed down on me, a physical blow that stole the air from my lungs and the strength from my legs. I crumpled to the floor, the carpet of the pack house doing little to cushion the impact. Daniel was by my side in an instant, his strong arms wrapping around me."Beauty! What is it? What's wrong?" he asked, his voice laced with concern."The healers... the sickness..." I choked, unable to form clear sentences.A cluster of healers stood near the entrance of the pack house, their faces etched with despair. They had rushed in, interrupting our already tense planning session. Oliver and Lucas were still gone, they were in search of Elena. Daniel and I were doing our best to hold the pack together in their absence, but it felt like our efforts were going down the drain."They're... freezing up," one of the healers, a young woman named Sarah, managed to say. "Even the warmth of the fire isn't helping. They can barely move… they’re almost lifeless. All they
