Chapter Five

Sabrina 

I woke up and felt a pair of strong arms around my waist. I was paralyzed for a second. I slowly faced the opposite side and saw the figure. It was the alpha. I looked at his hard features but he still looked young. I was about to touch his fuzzy full eyebrows when his eyelid shot open and I saw a pair of mesmerising red eyes looking at me. It reminded me of my hair. He looked taken back a bit before he roughly pushed me away. "It was my room he didn't have to be so rude." I thought to myself. My wolf just laughed. She seemed to be enjoying herself. 

" Good morning Alpha " I said with my head bowed. He just gave an almost invisible nod and left. I stared at his retreating figure. As I lay in bed I remembered what happened yesterday. After he said mate I was shocked. I never imagined I would be mated to an alpha. The moon goddess is surely amazing. He looks very proud, his red eyes must suggest he has killed a lot and is very ruthless but he looks so young. He had jet black hair which is styled to the side. He had six packs with a very light toned body, his red eyes giving him the bad alpha look. I won't say he's not handsome but he sure doesn't seem to accept me as his mate. I'm thankful he's not like Dexter. My stomach let out a long sound as I remembered the dinner I ate yesterday. The table was filled with different types of foods I knew nothing of. There was plenty of meat and something else that Tastes like meat it was whitish in colour and was in a sauce. I would ask the maid about it she looks kind enough to answer me. This was my first time I ever slept in a bed. I thought it was going to swallow me whole, that was before I felt the softness. I was happy the way I was. Even if I become a slave here I think it would be much better. I was about to sleep again when I heard a knock from outside. 

" Luna, are you ready for your bath?" 

" No," I replied. It must be one of the maids . 

" The alpha says you should get ready and attend breakfast with him privately in the next twenty minutes." She said very loudly for me to hear. 

     At the mention of the alpha I quickly rushed and opened the door quickly and allowed her in. She giggled slightly. It was the first time anyone has ever smiled at me before. She helped me have my bath. She asked if she could cut my hair and I gave her permission. She cut it into a bulb with a little fringe at the front. My hair is naturally straight so it wasn't difficult. When she was done she applied some makeup and got out a black plaid skirt and a red turtleneck shirt. 

  " Why do you always select a turtle neck shirt for me " I asked 

  " To cover up your bruises till it heals, '' she replied. 

 I smiled at her. "Thank you" I said back. She brought a mirror and when I stared at my reflection I was amazed. Most of the bruises on my face were gone. I felt different about myself. I followed her and met with the alpha in the dining room. We were alone and there were piles of food on the table. I bowed again before I sat, this time he didn't reply. 

 " I am Alpha Ace Maxwell" he said nonchalantly. 

 "My name is Sabrina" that's all I really know about myself. He looked confused as to why I didn't say my last name but he didn't bother to ask. 

  " Tell me about yourself and who Dexter is" he said without any display of emotion. 

  How did he know who Dexter was? Maybe Dexter has communicated with him to take me back. I began to panic.

  " Relax, you screamed it in your sleep. " 

  I calmed down after hearing that. Maybe I was having a nightmare I thought to myself.

  " I'm Sabrina. I don't really know my identity and I can't really bring myself down to say what has happened throughout my life. All I know is I was kidnapped from birth and Dexter the king of the rouge kingdom harbours a grudge against my father. I have no idea of my parents." I was close to tears so I decided to stop there. He still didn't let out any emotion. 

  " What about you? " I managed to let out. 

  " None of your business " was the short reply I got. He quickly left immediately . Does he have to be cold all the time? I ate to my satisfaction as I interacted with Catherine the maid.

   " Luna, he has been through alot in the past. Give him time to open up to you" she said in a motherly voice. I also thought so. I decided to win his love and tell him how to open his heart and maybe he could help me find my parents and defeat Dexter. I thought about the mark on my back Dexter kept talking about, maybe I would show him. 

  I wondered if I could really live happily ever after and everything that's happening now isn't just a dream.
