Still collecting Rogues?

“Yes, sir. I.. I.. wanted to ask tha.. that.. What will be my job?” Emily stuttered while asking.

“As written in the contract. You need to arrange my meeting, maintain my professional, and in some special cases, even my personal relationship with my clients. Go abroad for the business trips to arrange my schedule, run some more errands for me and so on”

“Well, that sounds tiring. I quit” Ralph announced while getting up.

“Okay with me” Emily was looking at the contract hesitantly.

“I know it is written that you have to pay five times the amount of your salary, if you break the contract but let me assure you will never feel like breaking it” Brain added with a reassuring smile.

Brain’s eyes swept over Emily’s blue globes. They were lost in each other for a while when Ralph decided to interrupt again.

“Yeah, he will make sure of that” Ralph teased with the widest grin possible.

“Oh God! Why is he even here? Brian closed his eyes in frustration.

“Nope! Listen to me, Emily, sign it. It’s worth it, take my words for it” Ralph spoke with a wink.

Emily smiled at him lightly and her eyes fell on Brian again whose intense eyes were still on her. She felt the tingling sensation in her entire body. Her stomach was making funny noises.

‘Is it butterfly or gas?’ She thought baffled.

“Okay, I will sign it then” She nodded nervously.

Emily knew she needed the money to pay for her brother and her living expenses. Never in hell she is taking Uncle Josh’s help. Brian’s offer is like feast in a golden platter. She will be a fool if she rejects such offer.

Ralph gave his pen to Emily for signing the contract. She took it with a bit shaky hand.

She looked at the pen and she could tell the pen was made up of real white gold and initials of Ralph’s name ‘R.L.’ was made with the diamonds engraved in it.

‘Just how rich these people are?’ She brushed the curious thought away soon and signed the contact before handing Ralph his pen back.

“Welcome to Eclipse Enterprises, Ms. Donavon” Brian stretched his hand for a handshake and Emily shook his hand.

“Thank you, Mr. Hale” She replied with a polite smile.

“Congratulations sweetheart. You will see a lot of me during your days here, by the way” Ralph smiled while shaking hands with her.

“I would love to meet you again, Mr. Linton” Emily smiled back.

“You can start working from tomorrow onwards as I am in urgent need of secretary” Brian instructed in a serious voice.

“Yes, very urgent indeed. He is even desperate for it!” Ralph nodded, pretending to be serious.

Brian kicked his legs under the table and gave him a cold look before moving towards Emily and spoke,

“Reporting time is 9 am”

“Yes, be on time. He just loooovvveeee people who are punctual!” Ralph said in a singing voice and gave some extra attention to the word ‘love’.

Brian rewarded him with another kick but the flirty Alpha didn’t show a thing on his face. His smile was like a constant of a mathematical equation.

“Yes, sir. I will be on time. It was nice meeting you” saying that Emily left his office.

As soon as Emily was gone, Ralph turned towards Brain.

“You should have asked her for taking care of you personally too and fulfil her duty as your wife” Ralph bursts into laughter.

“Get lost, b*stard!” Brian’s had enough of his teasing.

Ralph was laughing at him hysterically when suddenly he got a call. He checked the caller’s name on the screen and his smile disappeared. He looked at Brain and he kept his cell phone inside his pocket again.

“You can pick his call. I am not going to stop you” Brian replied calmly

Judging by Ralph’s change of expressions, Brian already knew it was Edmund’s call.

“I will pick it up later” Ralph plastered a smile on his handsome face.

“What is my dear brother doing these days? Still collecting Rogues?” Brian sneered.

“Well yeah. Rogues are really thankful to him. Their loyalty for him is on another level. They can even die for him” Ralph sounded a bit proud but Brian’s next few cruel words made him shut his mouth.

“That’s the typical of him! Alpha Edmund Hale always uses people’s weakness against them for his own advantage!” Brain said with a humorless laugh.

“I am not b*tching about him with you!  You are the last person I wanna b*tch wih, Mr. Saint Brian Hale” Ralph got up from his seat and left his office.

Emily went home happily when she was selected for the position of private secretory. She can’t wait to share the good news with her brother and Daisy. When she reached home, she got a text from her brother.

*Jeremy: I am going to Dylan’s house after school. I will be late. Don’t wait for me for dinner*

*Emily: Okay, take care*

After replying to Jeremy, Emily directly called Daisy but she disconnected her call.

“What the hell is wrong with people?” She looked confusedly at her cell phone.

Suddenly, Daisy’s name popped up in the notification.

*Daisy: Stuck at home! My bloody relative thought of blessing me with their unwanted presence. Catch you later…*

*Emily: Fine*

Emily threw her cell phone on the bed with gloomy expressions.

“Congratulations to me” Saying that sarcastically, she left to take a warm shower and changed back into her usual night sets.

She opened her laptop to do some more research about the Eclipse Enterprises. While searching for the news regarding the company, her eyes fell on the photo Brian in a navy blue color suit.

‘Why is he so handsome?’ She thought while staring at him.

She couldn’t help but remember his intense gazes on her in his office. Her mind directly went to their first encounter when he saved her from falling. She could still feel his arms wrapped around her body. She remembered how close they were. The burning sensation was back on her skin. Just the memory of his gentle touch was turning her on.

“Why does he have so much effect on me?” Emily was clearly talking to herself but she didn’t know she wasn’t alone.

“Who is having so much effect on you? Daisy barged in her room.

“How did you get in?” Emily asked in shock.

Daisy raised her hand and show her the small metal keys before saying, “Oh, I have the spare keys”

She jumped next to her on her bed and asked in excitement, “Now, don’t change the topic! Who is having effect on you?”

Emily was thinking about ways to avoid her question but an idea popped up in her head.

“You!” Emily looked at her with serious expressions.

“ME?” Daisy nearly shouted.

“Yeah, you were not here after I came back so I felt so bad. That’s what I was thinking” She nodded, supporting her lie and praying that she will fell for it.

“Awww! I told you those relatives had to come today for ruining my mood. Anyways, how was the interview?” Daisy asked with excitement.

Emily pretended to be sad at first but then she shouted cheerfully.

“Um. I got selected!”

“Oh Wow! Congrats dear! I knew you would make it. Now, tell me everything from the start” Daisy demanded.

“Nothing much. I entered the office and met this alpaca receptionist who smiling at everything and then…” Emily’s heart skipped a beat when she remembered that she met Brian after that.

“Then?” Daisy looked at her with raised eyebrow. She understood something extra ordinary happened.

“I met CEO Brian Hale” Emily spoke in a low voice.

“WHAT?”
