Is an Alpha allowed to have some quality time with his mate?

“I QUIT” Manager Ben spoke in a low voice.

“Why?” Brian looked at him with indifferent expressions.

“I want to leave before she destroys this entire building. I mean who plays with a fire extinguisher on their very first day, Alpha? I can’t take this anymore! Please! Either transfer me somewhere or accept my resignation. For the first time in my life, I am losing my mind! My patience is wavering!” Manager Ben grabbed a fistful of his hair and started pulling it.

“Don’t be a drama queen. She is barely 19, Beta Ben, she doesn’t know to behave in an office environment. She must have been spoiled by her family and didn’t think she has to work this soon, but you are 33, you need to be more careful. I had high hopes from you, Ben. She is precious to me and I can only trust you with her” Brian’s small speech with powerful words had a great effect on Manager Ben’s heart.

Hearing that his Alpha had high hopes from him and he only trust him with his mate, his other half! Benedict looked up like a proud peacock.

“You are right, Alpha Brian. I did wrong, I should have been more careful with her. Don’t worry, my Alpha, I will take care of the future Luna” saying that Benedict left the office.

“Well, that was easy” Brain chuckled and went back to his work.

He looked around for a particular file but couldn’t find it.

‘Oh, I told her not to bring it. How is she doing? She must be really hurt! Should I check on her?’ Thinking that his hands automatically pressed the bell and he texted her.

Emily who was hiding her face on the table in embarrassment, raised her head when she heard the sound of bell followed by a notification sound.

*Brian: Please bring me file no. D1106 now*

‘I should have searched that file in the meantime rather than hiding my face in embarrassment’ She thought while moving towards the file room.

She started searching for the file, but she felt like a small pond fish in the vast ocean. No matter how many hours he will give her, she just won’t be able to find that file. She felt like giving up on this job but then the amount of penalty crossed her brain, and she found a new built strength in her. She brought the self supporting ladder and began to search for it even harder.

“Oh my! I almost lost my balance” Emily was looking for the file at the uppermost shelves when she nearly tripped.

“What the hell! Is he trying to mock me? Why did he make it so big that a person like me couldn’t even reach it! Did he make it according to his own height. That over six feet giant!” Emily shouted in frustration.

“Well, yes, it is made according to my height actually, and you are right I’m 6.3 feet tall but not a giant” Brain replied casually from behind.

She was so busy in cursing Brian that she didn’t notice someone has entered the room.

Emily didn’t have to turn around to know to whom this melodic voice belongs to. Hearing his deep soothing voice, she panicked and lost her balance.

‘F*ck! Not again!’ She groaned when she fell from the ladder.

She closed her eyes and prepared herself for another embarrassment in front of her crush but to her surprise, two giant hands caught her on time. Without opening her eyes, she clutched his collars and hid her face on the crook of his neck. Her hot breath on his neck was a hard turn on. He could feel himself twitching by her mere touch.

Their bodies were dangerously close to each other. With each second, she was snuggling more into his neck out of fear of falling, making it almost impossible for him to control himself.

On the other hand, Emily noticed that his body smelled like rosewood. She didn’t know if it was his cologne or his own body scent but the moment his scent hit her nostrils, a shiver of excitement passed down her spine. His scent along with his touch was driving her crazy. She felt aroused and he didn’t even do anything yet.

She opened her baby blue eyes to look deep into his hazel green globes. In a matter of seconds, both of them were lost in each other’s eyes and didn’t want to be found again. Emily was the first one to regain her consciousness and looked away but Brian didn’t let go of her, he still held her like she is the most delicate gemstone in the entire world.

“Sir, put me down” Emily said in barely a whisper.

“Hmm?” Brain had no idea what she just said.

“Brain Sir!” Emily spoke a little louder and nudge him.

‘F*ck! My name from her lips is such a turn on!’ He took a deep sigh and kept her gently on her feet.

While keeping her feet down, he noticed the wound on the back of her heel when her sandals were hanging. He stood straight and looked in her eyes again. He just can’t seem to control himself. He pushed her lightly on the shelf behind and caged her between his hands. Emily’s eyes widened with shock.

His hand came to her cheek and he looked directly on her lips. He moved towards her, their lips were just inches apart. His hazel green pupil started turning dark. Emily closed her eyes, giving into the sensation. Suddenly, he heard his cell phone ringing which brought them back to reality. Emily’s eyes popped open and he took a step back.

When he checked his phone, it was Ralph calling, he disconnected immediately and kept his cell phone back into his pocket but it was of no use, the moment was already ruined.

‘Wow, Ralph! What a timing!’

“Why were you searching for that file on the upper shelf? It is here” He removed the file from the shelf from her side.

“I didn’t know” She replied, her cheeks were still burning.

“Oh, you didn’t know how to search for the files here?” He asked in a gentle voice and she shook her head.

“Alright, I will teach you. See, all of them are arrange in alphabetical order so the shelf one start with files with initial ‘A’ and last shelf is having files with ‘Z’ alphabet, and the numbers are also in ascending order. So, let’s take this file’s example” He pointed towards the file in his hand.

“D1106. So, it will be in a ‘D’ shelf and search for 1 after 1 and then 0 and 6. All of them are arranged in serial number wise. Do you understand now?” He asked in a hopeful tone and Emily nodded.

“Okay, then let’s do a little test. Bring me file B2168” Brian ordered and Emily moved towards the ‘B’ shelf and began to search serial number wise. She brought the correct file and handed it to Brian.

“Very good. You are a quick learner, sweetheart” Brian patted her head and Emily looked down smiling.

“Thank you, sir”

His eyes again fell on her baby pink kissable lips and Emily clearly noticed it, but before he could lose control again, his cell phone rang. This time it was Benedict calling.

‘Is an Alpha allowed to have some quality time with his mate?’ Brian took a deep sigh.

“Ahem! Bring me a cup of coffee to my office” Brian cleared his throat uncomfortably

“Yes sir” Saying that Emily stormed out of the file room.

Brian was about to disconnect the call but a thought crossed his brain and he picked up the call.

“Beta Ben, I have a work for you and only you are capable of doing it….”
