Chapter 120

Lorena’s POV

I was barely able to sleep all night. The Lady in White’s voice had been ringing non stop in my ears. Her words terrified me.

I was to beware of the Golden Moon? What would happen to me if I saw it? What was it even going to look like? My hand went to my stomach. My child was in danger. Why did it have to be..?

“Lorena?”

Hazel called out to me and I turned around in fright. I was lost in my thoughts.

“Lorena, you have had that shirt in your arms for the last ten minutes. Are you alright? You look pale. Did you get any sleep?”

I swallowed hard and kept the shirts on the bed. I had been trying to choose between the red one and the black one earlier but I was just swallowed by my thoughts.

“I…I’m sorry. I was thinking about something. I didn’t get much sleep last night but I’m okay. I’m sorry.”

I grabbed the black shirt and threw it over my head. I looked at Hazel from the corner of my eye and she looked unconvinced.
