“Alpha, we have the Princess trying to cross the border. What should we do?” A warrior mind links me. I stop walking. She needs to leave, we can end this war once she’s back. But my heart wants her safe with me. I’ve put her through absolute h*ll these past couple weeks. As much as I want to be with her, the fate of my kingdom and people are more important. So I pushed her away, anyway I could think of. I pushed her down like a coward. I set fire to her school uniforms in the courtyard. I put a de*d rabbit in her bed. I had my warriors spread rumors about her. I wanted her so alone that she couldn’t take it anymore. “Let her go. Don’t go after her.” I commanded him through mind link. “Goodbye Henlie.” I whisper. How can I get so caught up in making her life miserable, and then want to wipe her tears at the same time. I shake my head and keep walking to class.

After school ended I made my way to the pack house. The doors I broke down have been replaced. Everyone bows as I enter, I n

“Come on Henlie, dig deep and let her out.” My father says to me. We’ve been training for weeks, getting ready for battle with Forest Veil. I’d love nothing more than to rip Kain apart from head to toe. After the way he treated me, and just let me leave. I can’t possibly feel anything for him, but I do. “Henlie, get out of your head and focus.” My father shouts at me. I shake my thoughts away, and focus on the warrior in front of me. He’s big, really big. But father says I need to learn how to fight if we’re going to battle. I told him my plan to take down the Alpha, and he wants nothing more. A fist flies by my head and I dodge it. Taking my left hand, I clench my fist and swing at his jaw. He catches my hand and holds me in a tight embrace. I struggle to get free, but he won’t let up. “That’s right, get mad. Let your wolf out!” The warrior says. I close my eyes tight, and try my best to summon her. I do feel her, but she’s not coming out. “I can’t!” I yell out. He releases me, and I

“Dean, I want to see these warriors in shape before the end of the week!” I yell out across the field. We’ve been training since birth, but these past few weeks I’ve doubled up on training. We’ve got to be ready for when Fire Lake comes. When she comes. I close my eyes and drop my head in my hand. My mind constantly races with her inside of it. Am I doing the right thing? I shake my head and push those thoughts out. “Let’s run!” I yell out to everyone. I need a f**king run, and there’s a perfect 20 mile trail around the pack house that leads to a nice stream. I go there often to be alone and think. Everyone takes off running and jogging through the tail, and I follow behind by myself since Dean is leading them. Keeping my pace steady, I jog through the woods behind my men. Suddenly I hear a snap of a twig to my left. I fall back and pause, searching around for where the noise was. I scan the area and see nothing. My pack has already continued on with the trail, so I’m all alone. Seein

A knock at the door jolts me awake. I open my eyes, and roll out of bed. My body is sore from training, and my mind is exhausted. Slowly marching toward the door, I take a deep breath and open it. “Daughter, good morning. Have you slept well?” My father asks me with sincere in his eyes. I give him a sleepy smile and nod. “Morning father. I’m just a little exhausted from all of the training is all.” I tell him. He nods and walks into my room. He stops and sighs. “Henlie, I know you’ve been having trouble with everything. Especially bringing your wolf out.” He slowly spins around to face me. “Tell me daughter, have you found your mate yet?” He asks me. My eyes widen with surprise and I don’t know what to say. “I..” I pause not really knowing what I should say. “It’s okay daughter, you can tell me.” He says as he comes closer to me and puts his arm on my shoulder in a reassuring way. “I have.” I whisper to him. He smiles and nods. “Then we will go get him. He may be the only one to bring

Every day that goes by, I can feel her more and more. I can feel her saddness and her anger. I can feel her longing for me, yet hating me. "F**k." I breath out as I lay in bed, dreading the day before me. All I want is to see my girl, and swoop her up in my arms and just f**king kiss her. I miss her. My heart aches at the thought of her so far away from me. I wanted nothing more than to make her life a living h*ll when I found out who she was. But now that she's gone, my heart cant handle it. My wolf begs to come out and go get her, no matter what it takes or if I d*e trying. I have to see her one last time. I'm trying to do what's right for my pack, but this damn mate bond is so f**king powerfull. I can't think of anything else! Maybe I can blow off some steam this morning with another run. I'm constantly working out or beating my d*ck at the thought of her. At least I know she's thinking about me, even if most of the time she's mad at me. Mostly for not coming after her, not putting

Today feels weird. Like I know something is going to happen, something big. But I just don’t know what. I think to myself as I eat a raspberry from the breakfast table. I’ve trained for hours every single day just to strengthen my body. I’ve been pushed physically and mentally just to make sure I don’t get myself k*lled in battle. And there will be a battle. I just don’t know when. Will I lose all of my training the second I lay eyes on him? Will I still be angry or hurt? Or will I just throw everything out of the window and run to him? I’m so confused. Father says that I can unite us or lead this battle. I’m just so unsure of myself right now. Of course I want to unite us, but I also want to make him pay. Pay for hurting me. Pay for all those days of suffering. Pay for not coming after me. I lower my head feeling defeated. “A lot on your mind dear?” Father asks me. I look up at him, not noticing him staring at me and shake my head with a small grin. “I just feel tired father.” I tell

“Are you ready”? I shouted at the crowd as I was staring down the side of a cliff, about to dive head first. “F**k yeah”! I heard them shout. “Jump jump jump jump”! Was all I heard as I tossed back a shot of whiskey, and jumped out as far as I could. I stretched my arms out in front of my head and tightened my body ready to hit the water. *SPLASH* The impact stung my face and body from the height I had jumped. I didn’t care though, it was rare that I’d felt anything at all. As I emerged to the surface, I heard applause and “You’re f**king crazy Henlie”! I swam to the bank with a smile of pride on my face. No one can touch me, no one can rain on my parade. I felt unstoppable. Ethan and Jessie my best friends since Headstart met me at the bank and helped me out of the water. “Okay party animal, I think it’s time we made our way back to my house”, said Jessie. Ethan wrapped me in his jacket, and guided me towards the car. Jessie jumped in the drivers seat of the amber colored Range Ro

As I pulled in my long obnoxious driveway, I noticed an unfamiliar car parked outside my house. “Oh great, another Tupperware party”, I mumbled as I opened the front door. I slammed the door to announce my arrival. “I’ll be in my room, no visitors please”! I shouted into the distance of the big elegantly decorated house. It was like a museum in here, everything is for show and you don’t dare touch it. I rolled my eyes at the reminder. Just as I was making my way to the long grand staircase that leads to my room, my mother makes herself known from the other room. “Henlie dear, please come sit with us for a moment. We have some news to share with you”. My mother’s voice echoes from the living room. I sigh and make my way into the room. “I’m really not interested in whatever Tupperware you’re selling, so can I just go”? My annoyed voice carries through the house, and I come to a hault. Two men in black suits sit across from my mother and stepfather, while another man with a black and red

Opening my groggy eyes, I look around the dim lit room. I jolt up once I remember what happened. “Those bastards d***ged me!” I shout and climb out of a bed I’m unfamiliar with. I’m in a room, a large room with black walls and candles lining the walls for light. There is a desk in the corner and drapes covering a window to my right. I walk over and pull back the massive shades. I close my eyes and rear back from the sudden intrusion of light that hits my eyes. I open them slowly, and look out the window. I gasp as I take in the sight of endless forest around me. There’s nothing around here as far as the eye can see. I scramble away from the window and try to find my phone. Maybe I can call someone to help me break out of here. The police maybe? But my phone was no where to be found. Just then, the door to the room opened and the dean came in. I backed away in fear thinking about the last time I saw him and he d***ged me. “Miss Henlie, please don’t be frightened, you didn’t make it eas

2 weeks later It’s been hard waking up everyday and facing Kain. He said I was the princess of Fire Lake pack. I don’t even know what or where that is. After weeks of torture and humiliation I’ve decided to break out of this place. I can’t stay here and be subjected to Kain’s rath everyday. So now I’m hiding in the woods watching the guards, as soon as one of them breaks position I’m out of here. It’s been three hours and the guards haven’t moved an inch! This is hopeless. I know I can get through if one of them gets distracted. I looked around for something to throw. I found a stick, it will have to do. I tossed it to the left of me and ducked down. The guards looked back, and started to move to where I threw this stick. This is my chance! With all my strength and speed I took off. I ran as fast as I could making it to the border line. “Hey! Get back here!” Someone yells from behind me. But I don’t stop, I’ve finally crossed over! “It’s not safe out there, come back!” The man y

What the f**k just happened? The man that I’ve been yearning for just ch****d me and demanded I leave. And what was he saying about my father and my plan? My father’s dead, and I was forced to come here by my mother. He must have me mistaken for someone else. I gather up my things, and head to my room. At least there I’ll be safe from that psycho. As I sit in bed with my racing thoughts, I can’t help but cry. I feel like my heart just shattered into a million pieces, and I can’t fix it. Maybe I should get some rest. I’m sure Kain will apologize to me tomorrow and tell me he had the wrong person. As I convince myself that it was all a mistake, I fall asleep. I start to dream of a place with beautiful red lakes, and a castle. I enter the castle, and I’m greeted by a huge crowd cheering for me. An older man with honey brown eyes and dirty blonde hair greets me. “At last our princess returns!” He yells at the crowd. Everyone starts cheering. The man pulls me by the hand and leads me to

After the torture session I planned on going home. To get some sleep and clear my head. But somehow I ended up here in Henlie’s room. Sitting down on a chair in the corner, I watch as her chest falls and rises. She looks absolutely beautiful, even when she sleeps. I let out a sigh and hang my head. I can’t f**king believe she’s the daughter of the kingdom we’ve feuded with for centuries. I can’t trust her now, what if she’s here to destroy us? I mean it is odd how she came to our school in the middle of the year, and no one has heard of her. And then we f**king mated! Alphas can only mate with another wolf. She has to know she is a wolf, I mean come on we’re born into it. We have higher senses, and we’re stronger than humans. Oh and not to mention we f**king shift! There’s no way in hell she wouldn’t have known. But then again, she was screaming my name as she was coming earlier. That wasn’t an act, that was true passion. “F**k.” I whisper into the darkness of her room. I don’t f**kin
