For a few seconds it was silent, my dad would look at me than at Cody shocked. While the crowd behind me started whispering and Justin made his way over to stand in front of me. The silence is soon broken by my dad starting to chuckle, okay not how I thought he would react.

"I'm sorry I shouldn't be laughing, but I don't know if you're joking or not" he laughs looking over at Cody who's face hadn't changed, so I'm gonna guess and say he isn't joking "do you really think that I'm gonna hand my daughter over to you, I'm sorry Tyler but I'm not giving my daughter to them" my dad says shaking his head as I make eye contact with Cody, not gonna lie I kind of wanted to go.

"They'll kill me if you don't! They won't harm a hair on her head, she's friends with these people!" The annoying officer shouts still trying to fight to get up, I mean could I say I'm friends with Scott we've spoken twice? But fo

We continue on our journey for around twenty minutes, the amount of people joining our group got bigger with every second. Everyone kept telling me they're so happy that I've finally come home, which was a strange feeling. They're all saying I'm finally coming home but it's to a place I've never seen before, how could somewhere be home if I've never been there? Will it ever feel like home? Or am I gonna be so homesick it's gonna suck? There are so many questions to this which I know will get answered in time, this is a whole new life I'm about to start living which will come with a lot of unknowns.Through this whole walk all we've been walking through is trees, just trees after trees. But now I start to see the trees begin to thin out and a clearing appears up ahead, as we reach that clearing my mouth just hangs open. There was a full town hidden away, miles bigger than ours but I've never even heard about or see

  • Mated To The Enemy    Chapter Twenty

We spend maybe an hour touring the house, this place looked huge on the outside but when you get in, it's gigantic! He has like 5 bathrooms alone just upstairs! Many more bedrooms too, which I never get why people have that many bedrooms. Yes you need one for you obviously, if you want to have a spare room knock yourself out! But why does one person need like 12 bedrooms, am I missing something here because I don't get it!I was shattered due to me having basically zero sleep last night, so while Cody got some work done in his office downstairs I took a nap upstairs. In the worlds most comfiest bed! Well I don't know if it's the comfiest in the world, but it's sure as heck the comfiest I've ever slept in! As soon as my head hit that pillow, I fell to sleep instantly.I jolt awake to my phone ringing beside me, I groan rolling over to take it from the beside table. I probably wasn't going to an

  • Mated To The Enemy    Chapter Twenty-One

After Cody had fully calmed down (it took him awhile) he finally let me get ready. As I said before, these clothes looked hella expensive, I'm talking breaking the bank kind of money, Martha must have had a literal field day buying these. But I have to give credit where credit is due, she did pick loads of amazing clothes that I will definitely wear. She's been going on for years about revamping my wardrobe, she always goes on and on about me wearing the same stuff. It's true, I like the stuff I like and I never feel the need to change that. But now I'm looking at these clothes, maybe I should have let her do my wardrobe sooner, it might have saved Reece and Justin's wardrobe too.I don't know why we're having such a fancy dinner, it's not like we're introducing ourselves to each other. Martha and I have known each other since nursery and I've h

  • Mated To The Enemy    Chapter Twenty-Two

We continued on our journey to the pack house, no one was about as we walk down the dark path. I assumed this place would look scary at night as it's literally in the middle of the woods, but they have lights everywhere and it looks quite nice if I'm being honest. The pack house soon comes into view on our journey, it's there I start to see a few people walking about doing their thing. Then I quickly remember the rule, regular pack members are not allowed passed that point, so that's why I didn't see anyone! I just thought everyone was scared of the dark or something. As we inch even closer I spot two people stood outside the steps of the building, Martha and Scott stood patiently at the bottom of the stairs."Erika!" She cheers before running towards me, or her version of running as she was in heels and that's not her specialty, she's very near

  • Mated To The Enemy    Chapter Twenty-Three

It was the next morning, last nights dinner was something I've never seen before. I stuck with my vegetables all night, while Martha actually tried some of the more alive options, I have never seen that much puke in my entire life. But overall it was a good night, I got to know Scott a little better which just made me even more confused. At the dinner he was so nice, at first I thought he must be putting some kind of act on. If he was he should become an actor because I never saw through it once, or he's generally such a nice guy. But that doesn't explain why he went and attacked the town, even went as far as to go against Cody's orders. What could the town have done to make him so angry? We lost a few people that day for reasons none of us knew and I still don't know, I haven't a clue if Cody's gonna tell me or not.He claimed the reason for hi

  • Mated To The Enemy    Chapter Twenty-Four

Scott holds the door to Cody's office open as I walk up, I'm gonna level with you when I say I was so nervous. I know Cody trusts Scott obviously, as he's his Beta and he wouldn't let me walk in a room alone with him if he didn't, but I don't have many good things to say about him. Yes I know I said at the dinner he was a nice guy, but I also said how I didn't know if he was playing some kind of act.Once I'm in he closes the door behind me, that didn't add to me being terrified at all! I smile as he walks around to Cody's desk opening the file, I didn't know people actually carry around those file folder things, I just thought it was in movies and tv shows."Okay, I have loads of information on your mum, sorry it's taken me this long" he says pulling the different documents out, I totally forgot I asked him to help look for my mum.

  • Mated To The Enemy    Chapter Twenty-Five

I stand in the corridor for a few minutes, many questions just kept swirling through my head. Does my mum regret leaving us? Does she ever think of us? Was she just going to allow us to believe she was dead forever? Did she know about her mate before but waited until she had no choice but leave? There are so many questions that I want to be answered, but I don't know if I'm ready to hear the answers yet.I knew I had to somehow break the news to my family, but it's something I wouldn't want to over the phone. I have to figure out a way to talk to them face to face, without crossing any borders. I decide to text them we needed to talk as Cody walks down the hall, I send him a little smile while finishing sending the text."What did Scott want to talk to you about?" He asks looking rather tense, I wanted to tell him but I didn't know if I'd fully

  • Mated To The Enemy    Chapter Twenty-Six

A few hectic hours had passed since I first proposed my crazy idea, the rest of the pack soon got word about the changes and were also happy. It's great to see everyone working together to make this work, the humans and the wolves were helping each other so it could get done in time.I was helping Cody and Scott set up the place for the wolves, the only thing I wasn't going to help with was the poor animals, knowing me I'll feel bad and release them all. I was just finishing setting up the barrier separating the wolves and the human section, we didn't want anyone getting hurt if something ran to our bit.I stand up straight looking around at what we've done, you had the wolf's part which was just an open wood with the barriers. Across from that was where I know I'll be spending most of my time, the children's part, I just love being around

It's been a week since I took control over the town, let me tell you it's been a blast. That night we had a huge party, it stretched from the pack house all the way to the centre of town. I thought the towns people would be nervous about having the pack members walking the streets, but it was the opposite. Everyone was just so happy that all the fighting and the fear could be over with, my dad was even smiling.Today was the day we move the border that separates the town and the pack, now this part of town is a part of the pack. Which according to Cody, makes up one of the biggest packs in the country! Which is a big thing according to him, I wouldn't know I'm still learning about all the pack things.Ethan got released from hospital yesterday, the doctor is right he's slowly making a full recovery. Mum and dad finally spoke too, they have a lon

Yesterday the whole day was spent coming up with a plan to get into the town, we knew one thing for definite and that was I needed to get into the town. Which was why the planning was taking this long, Cody didn't want to put me in any danger so every plan he was turning down! Reece couldn't wait to get control of the town again, one so all this mess would be over but two, he could make Justin pay for what he did to Kayleigh. After a few long hours of going over plans, Cody finally agreed to one, only because him and most of the pack will be coming with me! Which honestly, I didn't mind too much because I wasn't thrilled about the idea of going in there alone if I'm being honest. We decided the best time to go into the town would be really early in the morning, before the sunrise kind of early.Th

"Ethan?" I ask confused that he was even ringing me, he's rang me a few times since we've found mum again but it's always been at night, just in case our dad finds out."Luna, you need to come to the border immediately, your brothers been attacked" one of the border guards says, this immediately makes my heart sink and tears well up in my eyes.I hang up the phone and don't even stop to tell the others what happened, I just need to get to Ethan immediately. As I bolt out the door I hear my mum shouting my name, but I didn't and couldn't stop. I zip passed a pack member after pack member. Some would ask if I'm okay but I couldn't answer, all I could think about was my brother.I soon arrive at that border where I see him, Ethan was laying on the floor with the border guard over him. I waste no time running over and knelling b

It's been a week since I spoke to Tristan, the day after I felt so bad still. Maybe I should have gone about the conversation in a different way, yes all those things needed to he said but maybe not in the way I did. Cody hasn't left my either, he's telling me it's due to the huge meeting he has, he won't be home for the entire day and some of the night. I told him he didn't have to make up for that, we have loads of other days that we can spend every minute with each other.Today was the day of his huge meeting, when I woke up he wasn't there but he did leave me a sweet note. Remember when we had that mini picnic in my bedroom, the night I found out he was a werewolf and what we are. I kept saying over and over again that he was the perfect guy, that still stands with all the sweet notes he leaves me. I couldn't have asked for a nicer mate, especially after everything with Tristan! He told me in the note he would

  • Mated To The Enemy    Chapter Forty-Two

Just to get into the building was difficult, you needed to wait outside for ages telling them your name and if you've set a meeting up. Than a man comes out asking for ID and starts to search you, just in case you're sneaking something in to give to one of the patients. I wasn't really too bothered about this, all my mind was focusing on was what I was gonna say to Tristan. I knew I had to word what I was gonna say in a way that wouldn't set him off, last time I was here he was better but still not fully there. After what feels like forever, I'm escorted into the building. Once the door closes you hear all the locks locking, they really don't want these people to get out. I lock my things away in a little box at reception, before following the man once again. We walk for a few more minutes until we reach the meeting room, once the door opens I spot Tristan sitting at the table."Erika, I'm so

  • Mated To The Enemy    Chapter Forty-One

I wake up bright and early the next morning, all that was racing around my head was what I will tell Tristan. But not only that, I also had to work out what I was gonna tell Cody! I know if I tell him what I wanna do he won't let me, but this is something I need to do not only for myself, but also for Tristan. I don't want him getting out of where he is and having to find out that I've moved on, yeah he might have plotted to kill me but I still care about him enough not to put him through that.I was sitting in the kitchen when Cody runs down the stairs, he had a folder tucked under his arm while rummaging through stuff. I watch him for a few seconds, I thought I had more time to think of an excuse of where I'm gonna be today."Have you seen my keys?" He asks looking through a pot on the side, why would his keys be in there?

I had just wrapped up my storytelling moment, no one uttered a word or moved a single muscle. Martha looked as though she was gonna bolt at any time, while Scott and Cody stood there trying to wrap their heads around what I just told them."You lied to me" Scott mutters breaking the silence, at first I thought he was talking to me but he turns to Martha "everything you told me was a lie, you cared to leave out why that Tristan boy was trying to kill you, YOU TRIED TO KILL HER!" He shouts loosing his cool, I was more shocked he could actually shout that loud."You don't understand, I was jealous because Erika had everything, she had the boy, the family and she was just so beautiful" Martha says but I shake my head, this is what she always does! Whenever she's put in a situation where she's in the wrong, she attempts to make you feel bad so you fo

He shouts still fighting against me trying his hardest to pull me in the water with him, out of the corner of my eye I spot someone walking over.Martha appears out of the bushes with her arms crossed, at first a huge relief takes over my senses. In my mind I thought she would run over and help but she didn't, she stood there with a smile on her face."That's it Tristan, get rid of her then you and me can live the life of our dreams" she laughs which makes my eyes just go wide, she was planning this with him!"No

I texted Ethan and told him I desperately needed to talk to him and my dad, this wasn't about the town or any borders but a family matter. I know Ethan will come no matter what, even if my dad were to tell him not too. The problem was if my dad was gonna come, he might think this is some kind of trap or something. I just need to prepare for anything, with that thought in mind I start heading towards the border. This was the first time I was making this journey alone, thankfully I walked it a few times so I wouldn't get lost. As I reach the border, I spot Ethan and just dad stood were waiting for me at that side.
