Hades, the ruler of the underworld had sent some of his demons to Silver Moon. He knew his great nieces were pregnant and wanted to see how powerful Selene and Nahla actually were.

Every few millennium a child is born with the rare gift of Hyperbolic Pulse and the time has come for another to be blessed with said gift. He knew neither of the girls had it so he believed with certainty that one of their kids would be chosen. He knows that the Princess' are pregnant, a child with the gift would sense demons, even in the womb. So to see if his theory was indeed correct, he sent hundreds of demons to their demise.

Hades has been plotting a way to free himself and the underworld indefinitely and having a child with the gift is exactly what he needs. The gift would protect the underworld from anyone who wanted to harm them. They would be protected and free if he found a way to take the child and raise it as his own.
