25 YEARS AGO

Roman didn't let Jordan go scot free. Even as Myra tried to pull them apart, they resisted like magnets, drawn to one another.

The wildness in Roman's eyes as he continually pounded into Jordan was bone-chilling, to say the least. Myra couldn't bear seeing him in such a way—he looked like a wolf relentlessly attacking its prey. Unmoving. Unshakeable.

Eventually, the struggle stopped. By then, Myra was already on her knees, holding on to Roman's arms. Her lips had gone tired from shouting at him to stop. Her throat, raw. She had never been a fan of violence, and seeing it in such intensity right before her eyes was like being put underwater for hours. Unbearable.

Roman flapped his hands to get rid of the excess blood on them. Underneath him, Jordan choked, too weak to even move.

He looked at his hands. They shook before him, red and stained with pieces of flesh from another living person. As though coming out from a trance, he leaped off Jordan, and turned to
