Kairen's POV

Weekend came slower than a snail. Maybe it was because I anticipated it so much though, who knows?

As planned, Todd came to pick me up by seven in the evening. But I didn't expect him to come on a bike.

I stared at it for a long while, unable to form a coherent sentence, but not for the reasons that might have seemed obvious.

Firstly, it was a black beauty. Secondly, I got excited just thinking about sitting down on it and holding on to Todd for dear life as we zoomed across the streets, with the wind whipping my hair around my face.

“Oh wow,” I finally managed to say. “You have a bike?” My mind kept whirling with all the ideas planted in it by the romance novels I fancied so much.
