Chapter 6
AMBER’S POVI was dreading that moment when they would call me at any time. The room they had given me was nice and comfy, but they were the triple terror. Who knows what they had in store for me?
I also found it hard to sleep for two reasons which were, I was in a place where I wasn’t familiar with and then I was living with the opposite sex. Anyways, nothing was bound to happen as they had no regard or feelings for me.
In the middle of the night, I heard a knock on the door and I wondered who it could be.
“Who is there?” I asked as I held my duvet, tight, to myself.“I still have to answer that, in my house?”It was one of the triplets, but I couldn’t tell who it was, just by his voice alone, so I stood up and opened the door. It was Aramis.
“I’m sorry. I…I guess I am used to it.” I stuttered, without maintaining eye contact with him.“I need a cup of coffee. I have work to do and I am feeling sleepy.” He said, without an expression on his face.“Oh, alright.”It was a bit annoying as he had disturbed me just for a cup of coffee which he could make by himself, but I already knew that there was going to be no peace or rest in this house.
“Do you want it thick or light?” “I want it thick.”It was much better as I asked, because if I had made the one he didn’t want, it would have been a big mistake, which I wanted to avoid at all cost. After I was done with it, I was about to go back to my room when he called me back.
“I haven’t told you to leave and you want to?”“I’m sorry. I thought that…”“Enough! You can not leave until I am done with this.” He said, looking at me, with a serious expression.I had no choice than to stay still, staring into mid-air, because there was nothing I could do. After for what seemed like two hours, he dismissed me and I went to my room and fell asleep, immediately. ~It was morning and I went downstairs to clean the sitting room, I also cleaned the kitchen and did the dishes while they were still certainly asleep, upstairs, in their room. Then I heard the doorbell ring. I opened the door and behold, it was a gorgeous lady, right before me, staring at me in confusion.“Good morning. May I know who you are, please?” I asked, still admiring her beauty, but not showing it.“I am Diana, a friend of your masters. I guess you must be the maid.” She scoffed, then walked in as she bumped into my shoulders, without apologizing. The admiration I had for her went off instantly as she looked like those spoilt brats who had no respect or regard for anyone. Then she sat on the couch and crossed her legs.
“What do you serve anyone who just came back from a journey?” She asked, looking at me like I was lowly.“Uhm… I just got here. I am new.”“Oh, goodness. Do you not understand English, anymore? I asked what do you serve anyone when they just came back from a journey? What can you serve me to help me chill!” She shouted at me and her hair scattered.I was taken aback and my heart raced, because I never expected her to react that way. Then I heard footsteps, it was Aramis and Joey who were coming down the stairs.
“Whoa! Diana! You are here.” Joey exclaimed, with a smile on his face and then he hugged her.“Goodness. Joey, you’ve changed.” She smiled happily as she hugged him, then she moved to Aramis and hugged him too.It seemed as if the Triple Terror had changed, within the last few years. I never expected them to be this close with anyone. I mean, their friends are always being ordered around by them, so more like they had slaves, not friends.
“Heard you shouting. What got you angry?” Aramis asked, with his right hand in his pocket.“Well, your maid did. She doesn’t understand a word I say. I asked her to get me something, but she didn’t budge.” She said, looking at me disgustingly.“What! Th…that’s not true.” I shook my head, with my eyes, bulged out. Then a hand from nowhere, held my throat and pinned me to the wall. It was Brandon, he was staring at me, coldly.
“Never ever in your disgusting life, should you disrespect her. The day I hear of this nonsense, your throat will say hello to my claws.” He threatened as his claws came out and pierced my neck a little, causing blood to trickle down my chest. My heart was beating madly and uncontrollably. I was frightened and there was no one that could help me here, if Brandon decided to take my life.
“I…I am sorry.” I managed to speak, then he withdrew his hand from me and I coughed out, seriously.I could see the smile on Diana’s face. She was evil and she looked like she would torment me all she wanted. That was when I was convinced that I was really in for doom. The three of them sat on the couch with her and were discussing and laughing. I knew that it was better to serve them something to eat, as that would be needed and I would avoid any insult or whatever they could do to me.
I went to the kitchen, with tears, strolling down my cheeks and I began to prepare toast for them and when I was done, I took pineapple juice, poured it into a jug and served them in their glass cups.
“Later in the afternoon, I’ll be going for shopping. I hope you do not mind If I borrow your maid?” She asked, with a smile on her face.“Sure, you can.” Joey said, with a smile.“How was studies in France?” Aramis asked as he sipped his juice.~I was in my room, staring at the wall when someone knocked and the door opened. It was Diana, smiling at me.“I just wanted to give you a hint of what you are going to go through, in this house and while I am here.”I looked at her, with fear of what was up her sleeves.“It’s hell. Get ready for hell, Amber.” She said as she laughed hysterically.Chapter 7AMBER’S POVAs she left, my heart felt like it was going to come out of my chest. That was a threat and there was no way I could get away from here. This was a place that I was unfamiliar with and I would still be at a disadvantage if I run from here.Neither Moon Hunters Pack or this place was good. I looked at the ceiling, not having anything to do and then I heard the car moving downstairs, so I checked my window and then I saw the trio with Dana, leaving the house. At least, it was better as I was all alone right now. There would be no one to make me feel scared or uncomfortable. Then my eyes spotted the swimming pool, I got interested in going near it, because of the way it looked. I have never been near a pool and it wouldn’t hurt to go near one right now.I went downstairs and was amazed at how cool the pool looked. Then I bent down and sat near it, making my legs enter the water. It was a really soothing experience and I couldn’t stop my legs from playing in it.Then
CHAPTER 8 I believe it's safe to say that I've learned a thing or two in this my short miserable life. We weren't all created equal, there's a really remarkable standard that keeps hovering around, somewhere above the clouds. These standards do well to keep each and everyone of us in check, preventing certain uncertainties from falling out of place.Out here, it's a two way street. No intersection, No junctions, just a straight road with no crooked ends. The rules are quite simple, be the predator or be preyed on. It's an obvious notion, in this story I'm inevitably the queen prey.Do preys try to resist? Do they run? Are we to hide? What are the odds of surviving in this cruel realm where every odd seems as though it's against the weaker species? All these I thought in that moment with Dan standing right in front of me, taking remarkable strides towards me, with every tick and tock. It didn't come as a surprise when he had pinned me to a wall. His breath fanning down the reigns of m
CHAPTER 9The pain that emanates from the inevitability of not knowing what happens next is so sharp and succinct. It mars you only to mar you again. A thing about the past is that it never leaves you, no matter how promising the future fit's into the canvas' frame, the wound remains fresh. Creating a constant reminder that you'd never really heal from it. I hadn't healed from the accident that happened a few years back, it never really looked like I was going to heal.I relived every day, every moment, creating conspiracy theories that'd have prevented the accident from happening. These thoughts marred me, only to mar me again.I was there again, all blood and broken shards. Staring down below the battered figure that had become of my brother. I could no longer see the smile he usually wore when we went out on night's as these. I could no longer see those bright sparks that lingered within the hearth of his eyes and the thought of never seeing them again made me shed out an ocean. I
I narrowed my gaze as Brandon put his arms over neck and slowly pressed his lips on my cheeks.I gulped down, my hands shaking vigorously and my legs which were beneath the table paralyzed at his single action."Oh my gosh! What?! It's true." Their mum screamed in excitement."Really? Brandon really?" He rolled his eyes feeling a bit pissed."Hey, don't be such a bad eye." Aramis teased.Everyone knew what was going on except their mum. I couldn't help but think, why would he introduce me as his girlfriend? Won't it make things weird when their mum sees me cleaning the kitchen or scrubbing the triplet's room? These three guys are turning my life into a nightmare. I admit there was a time when I saw them as angels but honestly, even the devil would show more pity than they showed me."Amber, I'm so sorry I didn't recognize who you are to my son much earlier." She smiled softly."Uhmmm… it's fine ma. Can I call you mother?" I asked, trying to spice up the drama a little."Awwwwn, that w
Chapter 9AMBER’S POVAs I saw Dan, who tried to molest me the other day, I could feel my anger rising.~Flashback~I could not believe the fact that this man had the gut to try to molest me. He was just too strong for me, but I was lucky enough to release myself from his grip after biting him hard and I ran as fast as I could, towards my room and locked the door, behind me, so he wouldn’t run inside and have his way with me.My heart was pounding hard in fear and I was having regrets of allowing him inside and trusting him easily and listening to his stories, which were beginning to seem like a lie. I couldn’t hear his footsteps around anymore, instead, it was going farther away from my room.Had he given up already? If that was the case, I would love that as I wouldn’t want to be messed up by a filthy stranger, who claimed to work for Dana.~Back to reality~I pointed my finger at him as I moved, steps, backwards.“Why are you pointing your finger at him?” Aramis said, with his righ
AMBER’S POVAs I slowly regained consciousness, the world around me came back into focus. The throbbing pain in my head and the stinging ache in my neck reminded me of the horrifying events that had just unfolded. Brandon had choked me, his grip tightening around my throat until everything went dark. The next thing I remember was being thrown violently onto the floor, the impact leaving me gasping for breath and struggling to comprehend what had happened. As I blinked my eyes open, I found myself lying on the bed in my room. Confusion swept through me like an icy gust of wind, leaving me disoriented and frightened. As I remembered my last memory before I passed out, I felt relief, wash through my veins. Then I noticed someone standing by my side. It was Aramis, who was staring at me with no emotion seen on his face.“I passed out.” I said, with both my eyes, moving left and right, simultaneously.“Yeah. Well, at least, Joey’s camera, saved you from death. Now that you are awake, I’ll
AMBER’S POVIt felt as if my whole world, burned as my favorite book was burning and I could only watch in tears and a broken heart. “Now, it’s all done.” He said as he moved closer to me.“But you know, you are indebted to me. My camera helped you escape the brink of death. You should appreciate me, and you will do that, obviously, by doing whatever I want, or I’ll kill you myself.” Joey threatened, close to my ears.I shivered, wondering what exactly the things I was going to do for him, were. I hoped that they were not the things that would bring me closer to trouble.~The next day, I was woken up by Joey’s knock, which wasn’t that loud, but sharp enough for me to hear. I could have ignored, but he was sharp enough to have noticed that I had woken up after his knock, due to the change in my breath, and all. I was going to be dead meat if I pretended to still be asleep.I stood up to open the door and when I did, he dashed in and closed the door, quietly.“We are going somewhere.
AMBER’S POVFear gripped me and I didn’t know what to do. Now that Aramis and Brandon whom Joey didn’t want them to know about this, were now in the sitting room, what were we going to tell them?I looked at Joey’s hand. The camera was right in his hand, and his brothers had clearly seen it. There was no way out of this, anymore.“So, you went ahead to take pictures with your camera, again, right? Despite telling you to quit this useless hobby of yours!” Brandon shouted.Although, they were triplets, but Brandon seemed more like the older one, and he was respected for the way he handled things. It was certain that Brandon was going to destroy the camera, with his kind of expression, right now, and all those pictures that were taken, would go to waste.Just as I felt so bad when Joey burned my favorite book, I knew it was going to hurt him, if his camera was broken. I wasn’t as wicked as him, so I wasn’t happy about that. Just before Joey could speak, I interrupted.“It’s me.” I said,
AMBER'S POV The harsh knock came again, instilling more fear in me and I realised that I was done for. It was obviously Diana and worse still, the triplets weren't in the mansion so she was going to make use of this opportunity to bully me like she used to. My hands shook slightly as I reached for the door knob. On a normal sense, I shouldn't have opened up but I knew that if I didn't, it might lead to more trouble and that's exactly what I was trying so hard to avoid.I felt helpless once more and I had no other choice than to just open up. I shrank backwards in terror as soon as she barged in aggressively, a menacing scowl on her face as she glared hard at me. If looks could kill, I'll probably be six feets deep by now.“Why didn't you open up earlier…?” She asked, eyeing me with distaste and I shook my head, shaking like a leaf. “Nothing…I was about to sleep when you knocked…?” I explained sincerely as she frowned deeply. “Don't feed me that crap….I know you!!” She stated, movi
AMBER'S POVAramis stared down at me, his expression unreadable as usual. I swallowed as my heart began its usual flutters. Yeah!! It flutters anytime I'm around them. Most especially when I'm been close to them, his hands were literally wrapped around my waist as I shuddered a bit. His gaze held no emotions, just blank like the usuals and I find myself getting used to it.“I'm…I'm.. sorry..” I mumbled innocently, avoiding his intense gaze as I tucked a strand of hair behind my ear nervously. He didn't say a word, his intense gaze remained solely on me as I shimmered. I wondered what was going through his mind, they were so hard to read and understand. I suddenly felt choky and tried to gently wriggle out of his grip but he held me back firmly as I gasped out, my eyes widening a bit.He remained silent for a while before opening up to speak. “How about now..?” He suddenly asked, in a deep gruffy voice that got my thighs dampening with wetness.Yeah!! That's how much effect his voice
AMBER'S POVI instantly noted the sarcasm and jealousy in his tone. Why did it seem like he felt bittered about what I said…? And why does he seem to keep using my words against me…?“No…that's not true..” I called out as Aramis eyes sparkled with interest, his gaze solely on me. “I enjoy being around you all, I feel safe only with you guys…” I mumbled innocently, fiddling nervously with my nails as I noticed them staring at me, their eyes litting up with interest. And I thought I saw an affectionately gaze but I shook my head, it should just be one of my numerous imaginations again. “But..” I suddenly uttered as they creased their brows slightly but they didn't say a word. I took my lips in, wondering if I should go on with what I had in mind. I hesistated for a while but I soon summoned up courage to voice it out. “I don't like when you're being cold to me, that side of you all scares me to death.” I dropped the bombshell, facing down to aviod their intense gaze.I didn't know how
CHAPTER 60: AMBER'S POVWhy that tone..? It seemed possesive, it was also laced with a bit of jealousy and rage. Their stern gaze remained on me as my lips quivered slightly, finding the right words to use. For a moment, I threw Diana a swift glance to find her fuming, her fist clenched as she eyed me in distaste.“Why does all this sounds like an excuse to me?” She suddenly voiced out as the triplets turned to glare at her sharply. She flinched but went on with the crap she was saying. “Don't believe her lies. I said she confessed to me this morning that she actually went out to meet a guy and they had an intimate session. Amber…why are you saying something different now…? You were pleading with me earlier to forgive you for using me to cover up for your deeds….” She paused as fake tears slipped down her eyes. “And I forgave you, you promised never to do it again, so why are u doing this again…?” She asked, her tone croaky with fake tears as my eyes litted up in amusement. The
CHAPTER 59: AMBER'S POV I shut my eyes close as hot tears ran down my cheeks. I was slowly loosing hope, the more I thought about how Brandon threatened me last night, the more I lost hope as I became helpless. “And who says we won't believe you…?” Aramis asked, tilting his head slightly as I rose my head up. His intense gaze was boring deep into my soul as I averted my gaze, taking my lips in as usual as I began fiddling with my nails. I always felt nervous around them as memories of how he caged me in the kitchen flashed through my head in a split second. I almost blushed but I restrained myself, he claimed that he just found a pickle on my hair. They was nothing so special about that, a part of my heart seemed to shatter at that thought.“You all find it hard to believe any thing I say and I've got no proof, all what I utter seems like a lie so I've got no choice than to just admit it. But I'm promising you that it won't happen again. I won't step out at night anymore. Please d
CHAPTER 58: AMBER'S POVI lay on the cold floor as I watched as Diana lips quivered slightly. The triplets were really angered by Alpha Gerald's visit and they knew he couldn't just pay them a visit out of the blues. And they were sure that Diana might have informed him about this. Well, they guessed right because she was actually the one who informed him about it.“Have you suddenly gone deaf…?” Joey roared in rage, his jaw clinching as his eyes twitched. Diana flinched, avoiding his ruthless gaze as she fiddled with her nails. Inwardly, I loved the way she trembled in their presence but I was no different from her, mine was much worse.“I informed June about it.” Diana suddenly blurted out, as she fluttered her eyes close, tears streaming down her face. She knew the triplets weren't going to take this easy on her.“How dare you…?” Brandon muttered in a low but dangerous tone as Diana took in her lips.“You said you were going to torture her until she begs for death and she was al
CHAPTER 57: AMBER'S POVMy chest tightened as I felt a huge lump in my throat. The air around me felt choky as I struggled to breathe. My life was at their mercy and their choice alone determines my fate. But I was slowly beginning to accept reality, all hope was lost. I was nothing compared to their befitting title. How can anyone one in their right senses think of choosing me over such an enormous and ambiguous title. I obviously didn't stand a chance, it would be better I just lay back in the trunk and flutter my eyes close because their choice was so clear.Should that even be a question…?My eyes fluttered close slowly, already accepting fate as tears streamed down my eyes. No doubt!! I was returning back to the pack with Alpha Gerald and my existence is going to end there for sure. I doubt if I can spend more than a day in that pack. June has also sworn that if I ever returned, she was going to make my life miserable. But I was helpless, anywhere I turned to, I always had an
CHAPTER 56: AMBER'S POVI felt suffocated in the boot as my body shook greatly as darkness loomed over me. I was about to get sucked back into those tragic memories when I heard him roar the engine to life, throwing me out of it for a while as the car began moving. My unending tears kept spilling as I wailed, my mouth was clogged so I couldn't make a sound. He finally got me and there was no chance to escape right now, I was doomed and it was time to face real hell.I heard the tyres screech loudly, coming to a halt as my tears ceased a bit, my eyes widened in uncertainty. What could have caused the sudden halt…? I was definitely sure that we were still in the mansion, we hadn't arrived at the pack yet, that was impossible.I couldn't see anything but I was paying attention to the sounds around me. The engine was turned off and I heard several engines roaring in the distance as my brows creased in confusion.Soon, the engines were also turned off as the slamming of doors followed ne
CHAPTER 55: DIANA'S POVI laughed out maniacally, rubbing my palms wickedly, I was enjoying every bits of this. Finally, my plans were all working out now and I'm finally going to have the triplets to myself. My gaze narrowed darkly as my heart kept fluttering with excitement as I glanced over at Amber to see her trembling greatly as tears cascaded down her face. It was time to face her doom and I so much loved the look on her face.It felt like I should just take a memorial picture of her at that moment, since I might not be seeing her ever again. I summoned the guards to open up the dungeon gates as they pulled her out of it, ignoring her weak struggles. The fact that she was weak made things so easy and smooth for me and I took advantage of her vulnerability. I knew my plans will eventually work out one day. I just had to sit and plan it well, it was smooth, one without fault and trace and no proof she tried to bring to the table could save her from this. I made sure to do a good
