Chapter 128

Stacey

My parents’ car pulled into the familiar driveway, and I couldn’t help but feel a twinge of nostalgia as I stepped through the front door and into my childhood home. My old room was exactly how I remembered it - the same posters on the walls, the same stuffed animals on the bed. I hadn’t told them about the messages or how Gretchen had been acting. Suffice to say, it gave me the creeps.

I had brought her with me for moral support, but my little fur ball was having none of it. Although she did just wait outside my bedroom patiently, guarding me with her big brown eyes and wagging tail. I guess that is nice of her.
