98 Get Out Of My Way

Sibyl’s POV

There were no candles in the spacious and luxurious palace, and everything was shrouded in darkness. I crept up to the king's palace, where I knew Nuri was.

The palace is quiet at night. Apart from the sound of soldiers on patrol, there was only the rustling of the wind through the leaves. It is spring now, and the primroses are in bloom, adding some tenderness to this solemn palace.

Unfortunately, I can only smell the flowers but cannot see their color.

I tiptoed along the corridor. The handmaid on duty was dozing off and no one noticed me.

I know the Windsor family has taken control of the palace. They will hunt me down and kill me if they find me. The first thing I need to do is wake Nuri up, and then I'll figure out what to do about the Windsor family.

I opened the door quietly, entered the palace slowly and closed it again.

This is the king's bedroom. I've only been here once. I remember kneeling at the palace gate in the pouring rain, begging my father to save Doyle,
