Sibyl’s POV

My aunt said she would tell me about my mother, but I couldn't find her the next day.

"Nuri, do you know where my aunt is? and Manolo, I haven't seen him for days."

Nuri stood behind me and took the comb from Amy's hand. As he combed my hair slowly, he answered me, "You are the first member of the witches to be queen. Dalena says she needs five days to pray to God. Manolo is helping her. On the day of our coronation, they will finish their prayers and come to our ceremony."

I looked at myself and Nuri in the mirror and felt a little lost. "She hasn't told me who my mother is. I don't even know her name."

"It doesn't matter. When you become queen, I will leave a big house for Dalena in the palace. If you miss her, we can invite her to stay in the palace more often."

"Okay." I was still grieving the loss of Doyle, and the pregnancy had left me too weak to worry about anything else.

Why can’t she just trust her husband? We already know that her brother’s death didn’t happen that way. Is it a frame up to break them up? Her husband is the only one who’s been completely honest with her and has no hidden agendas.
