Chapter 91 - The Past

The time Daimon finally got a day off, he was able to tend to his brother and Keisha got the whole day to rest. His little brother also started feeling better and he was glad that he got some help, or else he would still be sick today. "How are you buddy?" he asked as he showed him the food he brought to make him feel better.

"Fine…" he replied as he yawned.

"Was Keisha taking good care of you?" he continued asking as he prepared the medicine and water together with the food. His brother nodded again with a smile but there was worry in his face. "I don't think she's fine though…" His voice was soft and concerning, the innocence of a child's words.

Daimon paused and turned to his brother. He sighed heavily before sitting down. "Why do you say that?" he asked reassuringly and his brother started contemplating his answer. He looked down at the ground as he fidgeted with his fingers. He held the boy's little hands. "It's okay, Jake," he reassured, calling him by his second name.
