CH 36: A Little Box

Piper’s POV

It turned out that Jay took us to a café on the top deck of the ship that has an indoor and outdoor room. The special thing about the café was that their outdoor room had the most beautiful view because it was on the top deck. So, we could see the sea view all around us.

The first time I entered the café, I was surprised because it was quiet and there were only four of us. I guessed Jay must have booked this café, especially for us. From the direction of the kitchen came the sound of clanking cooking utensils. Several waiters were standing around us with friendly smiles. One waitress, wearing a different uniform from the others, led us to the outdoor room.

Then she closed the door separating the indoor and outdoor rooms. I was sure my guess was right. There was no one but us in this café. Jay had planned all this. And even more surprising, in the outdoor room, there was only a square-shaped, sizable table and four chairs.
