CH 44: He Touched Me

Megan’s POV

I pushed the doorknob down and pushed the door inward. He stood with his back to me and stared out the window.

After closing the door, I walked toward him.

“Zac, thank you for seeing me,” I said as I sat down on the chair in front of his desk.

Zac turned around, looked at me, and smiled, “I’ve been expecting you. What would you like to drink?”

“Wine,” I replied as I put my bag on the chair next to me.

Zac walked over to the table at the end of his study room. Many bottles of drinks stood in a row on the table. He poured wine into two empty glasses and handed them to me.

“Thank you,” I replied, downing half a glass of wine and setting the glass back on the table.

Zac sat down across from me. He looked at me unblinkingly as he took a sip of his wine.
