Two adult dragons flew down from the skies and aimed their sights in front of the Willridge Manor.

The first dragon that landed was a tall skinny dragon. It's scales were an ombre of dark and light blue scales. The tip of its tail were covered in long sharp grey spikes. In a single file line, sharp yet short spikes ran down the dragons neck base to his forehead. Its legs a dark blue, and holding grey sharp claws that seemed to be the length of Venus's arm. It's horns we're short and semi circles curved close to his head.

Seeing the dragon before Venus made her shocked and slightly afraid. She had heard of the might and beauty of dragons but had never seen them.

The next dragon that landed was much bigger. He seemed heavier like more muscles toned in weight. He held a black and dark grey ombre scales. He held no spikes on his tail but seemingly had a whole mane of them around the back of his neck. His horns were bent backwards and were long. His claws were even longer and seem

Venus started to rise in the carriage with Queen Petunia. The Queen Mother sat on a heavily cushioned seat with multiple plush throw pillows behind her. Her dragon wings spread apart slightly and lay out by her sides. Venus eyeballed them for a moment and then looked away. It was rude to stare. After several minutes, the carriage began to move. Venus peeked her head out of the carriage window and gave one final wave to her family and her old handmaidens. Her father, stepmother, and maids waved farewell. After a minute, Venus leaned back in the carriage and looked at Queen Petunia. The Queen smiled at her. "Have you ever traveled away from the south side of the Salazar Kingdom?" she asked. Venus shook her head. "No, Your Majesty. I've only ever been here and The Temple of Lilith," she explained. "Do you still intend to practice your Saintess duties when arriving at the castle?" Queen Pentunia asked. "If my husband will allow it...." Venus said nervously. it was the on

"Ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous!" Prince Blackscale yelled at the handmaiden and then slammed his cup onto the floor. Venus jumped slightly, hearing the cup shatter on the stone-cold floor. However, she said nothing and continued to clasp her hands in front of her. They had arrived at the Salazar Castle. The handmaidens had just shown Prince Blackscale and Venus's new room together. The room was perhaps the size of Lord Willridge's dining hall. It was the biggest room Venus had ever seen. It was filled with bright red, plush furniture and a large king-size bed with mesh black curtains that went all around it. A nice fireplace stuck in one of the sides of the walls, surrounded by fresh firewood and coal. However, none of this mattered because apparently, the room did not have a balcony. Prince Blackscale was very upset about this. So upset about it, that now he was cussing out the poor handmaiden who had shown them to their room. "I will not be disgraced and have my name soiled by

"Venus?" King Bloodstar called out. "Are you okay?" Venus wanted to leap into his arms and cry and confess to just how miserable she was. She wanted someone to help her and wish her back home. She wanted to never see Prince Blackscale again. Venus painfully remembered her husband's threat and swallowed. She grimaced and looked away from the King. How desperately she wanted to reveal her abuse to King Bloodstar, a man whom had showed nothing but kindness to her. Venus trembled slightly at the thought of the terrible results. "Venus? What is it? What's wrong?" King Bloodstar asked again, coming to her side. "I'm.... just a bit sick .... from the carriage ride. So much motion and traveling has made me feel queasy." Venus said, not looking at the King. "Is... that it?" King Bloodstar asked her, sounding as if he didn't believe her. Venus had to admit it wasn't a very convincing lie. She never was a good liar. "I'll be fine, Your Majesty." Venus said. She bowed slightl

Venus immediately covered her mouth and felt a tidal wave of regret and embarrassment flow through her. She shouldn't have said that. Venus knew it. However, it came out of her mouth without thinking. There was a long minute of stillness and silence. Venus finally looked up at King Bloodstar, who was staring at her in a bewildered look. Before he could say anything, Venus removed herself from his arm. She turned away and began to walk back. "I must go, Your Majesty. The day grows late." "Venus!" King Bloodstar said, calling after her. Venus didn't stop. She picked up her dress and walked even faster. She found herself almost flying through the game room. Many of the nobles barely had the time to notice her as Venus was out of the room as quickly as she came in. Venus trotted along the balcony that overhanged the courtyard and turned into a hallway. She then pressed herself into the wall and let out a long exhausted breath. Why had she said that?! Why?!!! Ven
