Today, she made herself a different meal, not realizing how hungry she was until she started digging in.

Damien noticed how she ate, wondering if she had been neglected in her own father’s house or if she was somehow not truly part of the family.

Her sister was so clingy toward him, making it seem as if she were the one he was meant to marry.
