Clark stretches on the bed pushing the pillow dividing the bed we share for the 4th time this night towards me. “Remind me again why I agreed to get married to you and most importantly why I even agreed to share a bed with you” I sigh.Clark had convinced me the night we moved in that we had to share a room. I stand in front of the mirror, my eyes sparkling with a bit of excitement as I take in my reflection. Seeing it’s been a while since I dressed up for a date, though it’s just a double date but still I’ll take what I can get. I spend the next five days purposely avoiding Clark. Every morning I wake up an hour before Clark usually wakes up to give me sufficient time to have my bath, get dressed and then leave for work. And in the evenings I purposely return home around 4pm, a time guaranteed that Clark will still be at work.I know we agreed to not leave things awkward but that was said in the heat of the moment. To be honest it just feels like we crossed a path that we can never return from.I look down at my watch, inwardly praying that Alice wraps up this internal staff meeting as soon as possible.
