Chapter 82

Carl's POV

Ever since Margaret resumed work at the house as a maid and chef, Tessa has never been this lazy.

I talked to her about it one day, and it escalated to a big problem.

This lasted for over two days.

It was in the evening when I mustered enough courage, finally, to talk to her about it.

We were having a good time, seated on the veranda, sipping extracted oranges from a glass.

“Don't you think you have become lazy already, Tessa?” I started, remembering the maid was out of the house to purchase stuff from the mall.

At least, if she is going to react; Margaret was far away from the house to see a part of her I don't want her to see.

Not yet.

“I don't understand you, honey,” she said, dropping the glass of juice Margaret served her before leaving, on the table.

“What do you mean?”

“Never mind.” I said, hating myself for starting an issue I cannot finish.

“Tell me,” she urged with a smile, deceiving me to continue the discussion with her. “Let's talk, Carl.”
