MIRABEL
"Is it that you've never had a boyfriend or you don't want to have a boyfriend because I'm certain that lots of men would have wanted you."
If only she knew my story but I didn't bother talking much about it.
"I don't know. I just didn't have men lining up for me and besides I had lots of things to focus on so even if I did have, it would have eventually ended." I replied.
"That's true but now you are all set. You should try dating but then again don't take my words seriously and don't bother if you don't find the right person because trust me when I say that it's not worth it when you mean useless people." She sighed deeply.
"Take me for instance. I still believe in love. I believe that the love I read in books and watch movies still exists and that's what I'm holding on to hence the reason I've chosen that until I see that love, I'm going to focus on the fun aspect and that's sex!" She cheered after her last word and I chuckled.
I glanced at my wristwatch and in panic mode, I stood up in haste only to hear a ripping sound. I quickly sat back in my seat.
"What is wrong?" Beauty asked inquisitively sounding genuinely concerned.
"Firstly, lunch break is over and I'm late. Secondly, I think my skirt ripped from the slit."
"What?" She stood up from where she sat to come over to where I saw her. "Get up so that I can see."
I slowly get up as she had insisted.
"This is bad. I can see your panties. Your skirt is ripped bad." She informed me.
I sighed deeply before sitting back in my seat. Somehow the day went from bad to worse because how the hell did the skirt rip out of nowhere?
"Now what do I do?" My eyes glistened with tears.
If I got back to my desk any late, I would get in trouble and it seemed to me that the universe was in support of Giveon's plan.
"How did it happen though?"
"I stood up and it happened," I answered. "I don't know what to do because how am I going to leave here and return to the desk besides that, how do I go home? How do I walk? Oh fuck!" I cursed out.
She sighed. "I usually bring some extra clothing to work just for safety purposes and you know as a girl, you need to always have a backup of everything especially backup panties."
"But the issue is I'm smaller in size than you. You've got bigger butt and hips so how the hell will my skirt fit?"
I sighed out frustratingly. I couldn't walk this way and there's no way I'd be able to walk unless I was covered. I wasn't that shameless to walk around knowing that my ass and panties were on full display.
"But we are not that different the sizes though so many you could try it. It would only be tight but it would be better than wearing a ripped skirt around, don't you think?"
"I think that's better," I replied.
"So this is what you will do, you are found to walk in front I me while I walk behind you so that no one sees you. I'm going to be your shield."
I smiled so hard hearing those words from her mouth. Beauty has been nothing but a good person since we met and for someone I met yesterday, it felt like we've been friends for years. I did as she said and together we walked out of the company cafeteria.
We reached her locker, one that was created for employees in the company. I also had mine but I wasn’t using it yet. I had no idea I had one until she told me about it and said she’d show me where it was some other day.
I struggled to put on her skirt but somehow it fitted although it was tight.
“Better this than nothing,” I chuckled and she chuckled too.
“Alright then. I have to go back to work and you have to. Sadly you are in much bigger trouble than me so good luck and try to stay calm okay?” She reminded me.
We hugged before passing away. I went back to Giveon office. The last floor of the building was entirely for him and me which meant there was no other office except for him as the CEO of the company.
My heart began to race faster than normal with every step that took closer to his office. I hoped and prayed for him to not have returned but to my lock, he was standing in front of my desk with a scowl on his face.
“And where are you coming from?” He asked before looking at me from head to toe as if scrutinizing me.
“I had a stomach ache and had to use the toilet.” I lied.
“You have your toilet here but chose to use the others?”
“No, that’s not it.” I tried to explain but he cut me off.
“I don’t have the time for your little talk. Where is it and I hope that you’ve done it properly this time seeing how you are comfortably coming back to your position now.”
I walked to my desk to get the printed papers hoping that he liked the new version that Beauty helped me with.
He took them from my hands and headed to his office and I followed him with the presence of the big knots that formed in my stomach.
He rested his butt on his desk as he looked through the papers. He hasn’t said one word since he started going through them, unlike the other time when he’d have found lots of reasons to shout at me.
“It’s good.” He said and I let out a sigh of relief.
It felt so good hearing that because my day was already ruined because of the stress.
“Is that all sir? Is there anything else you’d like for me to do for you?” I said but he didn’t say anything, his eyes were on me intensely making me a little nervous.
Seeing that as a queue, I turned to leave but was surprised when I felt his strong presence behind me, towering over my height.
“And where the fuck do you think you are going to?” He was holding my wrist with his hand while he stood so close to me.
“I’m…” I gulped a little. “I’m leaving.”
“And who asked you to leave?” I shuddered at the sound of his voice.
He was dangerously too close than he should be because I could feel my ass touching his dick.
“Where the fuck did the skirt you wore to the office earlier today disappear to and why are you wearing something so tight that barely covers your ass?” He whispered harshly in my ears.
MIRABEL"Are you going to speak or should I force the words out of your mouth?" Firstly he was standing too close, secondly, he was whispering in my ears in a way that made me feel slightly uncomfortable. I've never been this close to a man before but somehow his presence made my heart beat faster than normal."My…" I began but he cut me off."You don't learn now, do you? I've told you to stop trying. Stop trying hard to get me to look at you but somehow you don't listen. It seems you love my attention so much, isn't that it?""I… that's not true," I replied, my heart beating so loud that I wondered if he could also hear the rate at which my heart was beating. "Then what is true Mira." I shuddered at the sound of his voice when he mentioned my name for the first time. He has always referred to me as a girl. I never thought hearing my name from his mouth would sound so good."My skirt…. It…""Yes, your skirt is too short and it is barely covering your ass. Are you trying to seduce y
MIRABEL"Wait what!" Beauty screamed and I had to place my palm over her mouth, preventing her from making my noise as people were now looking in our direction. We were seated in front of a coffee shop close to the office. Since we were closed for the day from work, we decided to go there to speak as she noticed that I wasn't happy. The first question she asked me when she saw me was if I was fired to which I shook my head in response. She asked me what had happened and I honestly tried not to tell her but she wasn't going to let it be I couldn't yet tell her that he was my husband so I told her about the fact that he was my high school bully."You mean you went to the same school as him? I think he knows it's you and that's why he hired you and that's why he's still torturing you but why would he do that?"Before I could speak, she was already speaking again. "I can only think of two reasons. One, you offended him in the past and him badly or he likes you."I almost choked on my cof
MIRABEL"Babe." The young lady called, now wrapping her arms around Giveon whose hand was firmly in his pocket now, still giving me a hard glare. "I asked a question, didn't I? Why am I not getting any response?""Who is she babe?" The blonde is asking instead, saving me from having to tell him to his face that I had to stay out of the house until night because I didn't want to see him. "She's the girl that lives with me." He replied, now referring me back to "the girl." But I don't take offense simply because I was starting to get used to it."Oh. The one who is supposed to be your wife?" She asked, scrutinizing me from head to toe that I felt like I should disappear at that moment. She knows he's married and is still around. Did he promise her marriage afterward? That he was going to get me to divorce him so that they would be together? As much as I wanted to conclude that she might be playing a huge role in the reason he wants my life miserable, I couldn't do that, not after wha
MIRABEL “Your mother’s insurance doesn’t cover her immunotherapy so that’s why you need to pay up.” The doctor said to me with a much calmer tone than the others. I was seated in front of him, holding on tightly to my pants as my mind raced with the possibility of losing my mother. She was all I had left and losing her after we had just lost Dad, I would never survive it. “I understand this is too much for you and that’s why I am suggesting you ask a relative for help. Anyone? A friend? Family?” He asked and I shook my head as I fought back the tears that threatened to spill. It was just the two of us, no one else. “Listen Mirabel, your mom doesn’t have much time and that’s why I am advising you to find someone that can help, it’s the only way because you can’t possibly raise such an amount on your own.” He advised. He was right, I knew he was right but there was no one else. There was really no one else. As I made my way out of his office and towards my mom’s room, the t
MIRABEL I am seated in one of the best five star restaurants in the country, nervously pulling at the uncomfortable yet classy dress I am wearing while I wait for the man that is supposed to be my husband in a few days from now. Before Mom married my father, she was supposed to marry into a wealthy family whose head was grandfather’s business partner, a marriage deal that would have created a huge opportunity for his business but Mom had refused to marry him and gone ahead to marry my Dad, for doing that, she lost everything, all her inheritance. And now, I was seated in her place, to carry out a contract marriage in exchange for her medical bills getting cleared. That was the only reason I was doing this, for Mom. I would never be able to survive losing her too, not after we lost Dad so that was one of the main reasons I needed her to stay alive and the only person that could help make that possible was grandfather. So doing what he said was no longer a matter of choice, i
MIRABEL My reflection stared right back at me in the mirror, dressed in a wedding dress that was chosen by my grandfather and about to walk down an aisle to marry a man that had done nothing but make my life miserable since high school. He did all those horrible things to me and didn’t even remember me. How could he not possibly remember the face of the girl he had tortured almost every single day? How could he even stomach funding and leading a campaign against bullying when he had not even changed a bit? What kind of monster was Giveon Jameson? And the worst part was, I was about to get married to that same monster. I could barely swallow anything and the more I tried to shove down my emotions, the more it rushed to the surface and the urge to break down in tears became so overwhelming. Grandfather simply refused to let me see mom so I was all alone even though my grandfather was right beside me, leading me down the aisle. There was no need to raise the veil for me to s
MIRABEL"Wake up." I heard someone say accompanied by a tap on my body. My eyes fluttered open as my head banged. Standing in front of me with a frown on her face was a maid. "Wake up." She said again, her tone harsher. For some seconds, I had wondered who she was and where I was because this wasn't my room and I don't recall taking a job as a maid or anything and then it snapped on me.I had gotten married to Giveon, my high school bully and he had accused me of wanting to seduce him and kicked me out with a blanket out of his room.I recalled how I had been humiliated and kicked out of the room to falling down the stairs. A kind maid had assisted me to this room where I had resided."You have to get dressed as some guests will be coming over today." The maid informed me.I don't recall seeing her or knowing her from anywhere because it didn't make sense to me why she was being rude to me. "Who?" I asked inquisitively."You will see for yourself but I've been told to assist you i
MIRABELI sighed deeply as I sat on my bed with my towel wrapped around my body. Tomorrow would be my first day at work and I wasn't prepared. I have never worked in an office before. I didn't even finish college because my mom fell ill and I've been struggling with life. If it wasn't for the situations I had, I should have graduated college two years ago but sadly I didn't. I never studied business, I don't know what it's about but somehow I have to start working as Giveon's assistant.I will be working with him from tomorrow. Earlier today, Zara brought some clothes for me if he needs them for work tomorrow. I was expecting someone to come explain to me what it was that I'd do but no one has. This might be a perfect opportunity for me to get close to Giveon and expose him just as I had intended to do but for some reason, I didn't think that I'd be able to pull through with it. Just as I got rid of my towel to wear my pajamas, the door to my room opened and Giveon stepped in. My

MIRABEL"This is wrong! What the fuck have you done? I asked for you to arrange them all accordingly to how it should be but somehow you managed to make it worse. The details is evident and all you have to do is arrange them like you do in school. What is wrong with you!" Giveon shouted at me, throwing the papers all in my face.I swallowed the knot that formed at the back of my throat. To say I was tired would be an understatement. I was more than tired. I was exhausted and frustrated. Since morning I've been going all over it and trying to fix it but it's like every time I present it to him, it just gets worse.I was holding myself from crying because I was close to crying. He was shouting and now I didn't know how to pick it all up and restart because I'd done it every way that I could. Would it make me a bad person that I was recording him while he shouted at me? After the third time that he shouted at me, I chose to record him."You are so dense and dumb. I can't even stand you.
MIRABELI had the best first day at work all thanks to Beauty. We exchanged contacts and after office hours, we met up.She wanted to shopping to get new clothes because she wanted to change her wardrobe. I would have refused but because I was enjoying her company, I followed her. We ended up having fun while shopping and she got me some matching slippers with her.She said it was the start of our friendship and she prayed for me to not lose my job or she'd go crazy. The thought of that made me a little sad but that motivated me to do so well so that Giveon wouldn't get angry. After his morning schedule and he left for whatever he had in the afternoon, he didn't return to work as he asked me to handle everything.I didn't know what exactly to do but I was certain I tried my best. When I got home, I was feeling full as I ate some street food with Beauty before we went our separate ways."You look excited," Miranda commented, walking towards me with her walking stick.I smiled at her,
MIRABEL"I'm so sorry sir. I didn't intend for this to happen." I apologized, taking a step closer to him."Just stay right where you are at!" He chided and i halted on my track more like froze."You didn't intend to?" He scoffed. "Don't lie. You knew what you did. I clearly stated that and for you to remember everything else but not my coffee is enough that you wanted to ruin my day. Now I have no good coffee which means no good morning!" "I can quickly make another one for you," I suggested."Just get lost." He stated firmly. He was outright rude but I had no choice but to keep shut. I hated being scolded or yelled at, it was enough to trigger my tears but while working at different places to earn money for my mom's treatment, I had to get used to it without having to break down. "What are you waiting for?” He growled. "Do you need me to drag you out of my office myself? Leave." He snapped.I walked out of his office. Once I was out, I leaned at the door to calm my heart. It took
MIRABEL"You must have forgotten that you are a married woman. Coming back home by this time of the night? Where did you go to?" He asked. For someone who had his own life, he was sure interested in mine way too much, or maybe that was his way of making me regret getting married to him; a marriage I already regretted before I got into it."Where were you?" He asked again when I didn't give him a reply to his first question."Are you not going to give me an answer?" He chastised."I went out." Came my simple response. He let out a dry laugh, taking some intimidating steps towards me. "I don't think I gave you any rules when you entered this house, or did I?" He shook his head."I doubt and that's why I'm going to be giving you rules because there's no way that I'd share the same house as you and not show you your place." I swallowed the invisible lump that formed in my throat now that he was standing in front of me. I thought all the fear that I had for Giveon ended in high school bu
MIRABEL“Who is she?” I heard a feminine voice from inside and I guessed it to be the woman that I saw him with banging. What a wonderful Monday for me walking into the office to see my husband banging another woman shamelessly and thankfully I didn’t care for him enough to let his actions affect me. I wasn’t too surprised about the kind of person that he was because he was a big flirt back in high school and although he was a year ahead of me, he had every girl in high school wanting to be on his bed. It’s so funny that after so many years, he hasn’t changed and he claimed to have a a girlfriend he loved. I scoffed in disbelief. Shortly after, the door opened and an angry-looking Giveon stood beside the door.“Good morning Giveon…”“It’s Sir to you henceforth and where is your manners? Did you forget it before you left the house? How dare you barge into my office without knocking and don’t know what the time is?” He uttered through his teeth, clearly pissed but my mind and eyes wer
