Becca's POV

4 years later

"Try this," Lola said, holding up a bright yellow dress with a sparkle in her eyes.

"Lola, it's your wedding, not mine," I replied, scoffing as I reached for the dress.

"Duh! And that's why my best friend, who is also my chief bridesmaid, has to look drop-dead gorgeous," she said with a grin.

"Maybe even meet a decent guy," she added with a wink, handing me the gown. It had been three years since I last heard from Bas. In those years, Lola, my beautiful, persistent friend, had done everything in her power to set me up with various guys. But it seemed like the universe disagreed with her efforts, because every guy she brought into my life had some weird quirk.

"As much as I love you, I swore never to go on a blind date with any of your guy friends again," I said, slipping into the changing room to put on the dress.
