Chapter 62

Becca POV

Waking up today felt like emerging from a long, dark tunnel into a faint glimmer of light. The heaviness that had settled in my chest since Ravi's passing seemed to ease just a bit. With Mom spending the night, her presence brought a sense of comfort and warmth. Careful not to disturb her peaceful slumber, I quietly slipped out of bed, tiptoeing out of the room.

As I roamed the corridors, I realized I hadn't really explored the house since the wedding. It felt bigger than I remembered, with plenty of rooms I hadn't seen before. I wondered which was Bas's room. The thought of Bas made my heart ache. I had been so mean to him even though I was hurt there were some hurtful things I said that I didn't mean and I knew I owed him an apology.

A certain room caught my attention, the door was a bit open, and inside, I saw beautiful paintings and art. The room felt special, like it was made for creativity. Each painting told a different story, and the colors were so bright and pretty.
