Chapter 71 – Usual Reward

Jared noticed the change, but couldn’t figure out the reason.

“What’s wrong?” He asked as he touched her chin to make her look at him.

“Nothing.” And yet she didn’t smile. That wasn’t reassuring.

“It’s not nothing. Tell me.”

“Are you going to trap me with ropes and I have to use the knives?”
