Chapter 2

The officials came into Mandy's office and she had to put on the most courageous look ever, because a lot was at stake.

"Welcome, gentlemen how may I help you" She said.

" We are here on official assignment ma'am. The bank has been waiting for the farm to pay up on the loan that was taken. Our hands are now forced to take action. We will be taking over the mansion as the Chairman used the house as a collateral for the loan. For the mean time we will place tags on every valuable asset in the house pending when the loan is cleared, we give you six months to pay up. If by six months you are not able to clear the debt, the bank will have to take over the house completely. We are sorry it had to come to this, we have no choice"

Mandy felt her whole world crashing down before her, and couldn't as much as form words in her mouth. Tears filled her eyes waiting to drop, she just sat on her chair watching the officials like someone who was in a trance.

Bosey who couldn't let them talk to Mandy alone was standing behind her, like a bodyguard. He had to do something as Mandy couldn't say a word.

"Miss, miss? but Mandy couldn't even look up.

Bosey had to tap the table to draw her attention. She looked at Bosey, and then reality hit her.

Mandy ran after them. They were inside the mansion and Bosey stood at the door with Mandy.

" Please don't do this! My father worked so hard for this" Mandy said to the officials but they were already on their way to the house. Mandy charged at them yelling.

"My father has always been a very trustworthy client, I can't believe you want to do this right now!

Bosey had to restrain Mandy from charging forward to the officials because he knew it could result to arresting her if she so much as blocked their way. He had to slightly hold her by her elbow to calm her down and also lead her to the house to watch as they placed tags on all their valuable assets.

Mandy couldn't stop the tears from falling, she had put on her "big girl shoes" but they had failed her, she cried more for her father whom she will never get to see again and also for everything that is presently going on.

The officials after placing tags on the properties, left the building. Mandy was standing inside the mansion. Ashe stood In the middle of the living room, fell to her knees and cried some more, tears falling freely from her face.

She hated how she was crying like that, but she was hurting and didn't know how else to show her emotions. Bosey couldn't stand how she was crying, he went on his knees beside her, and pulled her gently in for a hug expecting a resistance, but Mandy welcomed the hug with her whole body and continued crying in Bosey's arm. Bosey kept tapping her back saying "everything is going to be fine, I promise"

Mandy was carried away by being in Bosey's arm, but when she realised what was going on, she was embarrassed and didn't know how to leave his arm. Covering her face with both her palms, she left Bosey's arm and said...;

"I am sorry you had to see me this way" she said, looking away from Bosey.

"It's okay Miss, you should know I will always be here for you" Bosey said, gently moving with his hand, a strand of hair that escaped from Mandy's hair.

Mandy flinched, and immediately stood up, dusted her clothes and gave a nod to Bosey.

She was ready to swing into action to make a plan of how to save the farm.

" Bosey, please quickly get the accountant, and Bosey be fast as you can. We don't have much time"

The farm was up and running after Mandy was able to go through all the financial aspects of the farm. It wasn't that bad, but they still needed to keep the farm afloat to raise the amount needed to pay back the loan. Getting the farm to resume activities was one of Mandy's priority, because when the farm is running smoothly, then they can start thinking of how to pay the bank. Mandy let out a sigh of relief to see the farm activities being resumed. From where she sat observing the workers, she could see Bosey also working. She smiled and thought of how he has been her pillar of strength this past few days. She couldn't have pulled through if it wasn't for him. Maybe her father had kept Bosey by her side to help her when she needed strength.

"Thank you daddy" Mandy said under her breath, looking up.

Bosey could see Mandy sitting at the entrance of the farm. She is the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. When he came to the farm newly, he couldn't look her straight in the eye because he felt she was so beautiful and out of his league, but now, he is helping her and she isn't refusing his help. Maybe he could slowly try to win her heart when all this turmoil was over, Bosey thought to himself.

"Hey, Bosey how is it going" Mandy said.

Bosey was lost in thought about Mandy and didn't notice when she walked up to him, standing few metres away from him.

"Oh miss, I didn't see you coming" Bosey said, but he couldn't tell her he didn't see her coming, because he was busy fantasizing about her, could he?

"Bosey, can you stop with the formalities, and stop calling me miss" you can call me Mandy, and that's fine"

"I don't think that's appropriate miss".

" I think i should be the one to say if it's appropriate or not, I don't even care what's appropriate at this moment. All I care about is making sure everyone is free to work with me as possible that's more important to me"

"Okay miss. I will try my best to adjust, but don't expect me to call you by your name so soon, because it's going to feel weird at first, but please give me some time, I will definitely get there"

Bosey was about to say something to Mandy, when a farm help ran towards them screaming at the top of his voice.

"Oh what is wrong now" Mandy said looking at Bosey, with a worried expression.

Bosey had already dashed to meet the help halfway, to know what was wrong. Bosey caught up with the help mid-way and noticed the help was trying hard to breathe.

"Are you okay? What's wrong! Bosey asked the help.

"Fire! fire! The farm is on fire! the help kept screaming and then he passed out.....;
