Chapter Nineteen

Jordan deftly twirls the thin needle in between his fingers, his expression neutral. Fyre bit into the towel between her teeth, the pain was too unbearable but she couldn't make a sound, she wondered what fire had in store for her once she got detoxified.

Her forehead was glistening with beads of sweat, she swayed in exhaustion as Jordan took out the last needle from her back, she couldn't hold up anymore and fell back onto the bed. Jordan packed up his tools without another word and left the room.

Fyre bit her lower lip hard, even with the dizziness she felt, she was still trying to figure out why Audery was not affected by kissing Jordan. And she could swear that she had never seen any sign of acupuncture on her.

How Jordan was going to punish her was another issue that weighed her mind forcing her to stay awake even though she was supposed to be knocked out at the moment.
