A Daughter?

I believed that if I didn’t think of Adjo, somehow my problems would go away. I know it was delusional, but it was better than going the entire day thinking of the fact that my secret was out there with someone as disgusting as him.

Lee and I were in a bridal shop, checking out the gowns. The wedding was supposed to be my big day, but with Adjo on the loose, I couldn’t even concentrate on finding a perfect gown.

“It’s beautiful,” the shopkeeper said when I stepped out of the dresser.

“Of course it is. You are trying to make sales and even if I wore the most hideous clothing from this store, it would be beautiful!”

My heart boiled terribly in anger, making me unaware of what I was doing until I saw the look on Lee’s face.

“Stop judging me!” I yelled, rushing back into the dresser, then I sat down and began to cry.

I have never done a lot of things on my own, and now I’ve gotten myself in trouble. I couldn’t get Dante to help because he would kill me this time. How do I let him
