There was one person I had neglected more than Elowen, and that was my daughter, Guilia. Guilia didn’t grow up in the estate because I didn’t want her to face the cruel treatment the relatives gave me. She was my precious baby, and she would break under the clutches of my relatives, so I totally avoided that by keeping her away from them.

Last week was her graduation, and I wasn’t present because of my problems with the red mafia. She refused to attend my birthday party too, because she was mad, and to make it worse for her, I proposed to Elowen.

“Do not think showing up at the airport would make me believe you love me,” Guilia said the moment she walked out of the jet.

This juggled back my memory to the present, and I looked to see her standing with a small back in her hand while the men on the jet struggled to bring down her luggage.
