Chapter One Hundred and Two

Her anger died as quickly as it had risen but it was replaced by a deep sadness they had been there for her through all the bad times helping and guiding and never letting her down.

‘You will always be my brothers, and I cannot thank you enough for all you have done for me but I will choose my path and I refuse to be judged on those choices just because I am a woman.’

She tugged her arm free and the two men knew they had to act fast,

‘Alcina, we were wrong and you are right, it is not our place to judge you, and yes, we know we have done so. Please, we will work harder to make ourselves worthy of you again, you are stronger and braver than any man we know. You do not need to answer to anyone and we know that Donna Alcina.’’

They knelt side by side on one knee hands over their hearts,

‘We pledge our lives to serve you Donna Alcina.’

Alcina’s gaze softened, she knew the two of them would gladly lay down their lives for her and she did love them deeply,
