Chapter 24

Violen POV

Since I rejected Bryn's love, it was harder for me to meet Bryn. Sometimes even though I run into Bryn, he keeps quiet and chooses to leave. He narrowly avoided me. The ridiculous things I've done with Bryn before are gone in seconds. Daren and Lesley have tried to calm my heart; they do various ways to comfort me.

But that's not enough to calm my heart. I also decided to return to my apartment. And now I'm sitting in the garden while enjoying music with the handset in my ear. I remembered the novel that Daren gave me. When a woman is afraid to express her love for her own best friend, it is only because she is worried that her best friend will reject her and stay away from her.
