~Chapter 22

Vera's POV

"Julius!"

I held his lifeless body in my arms as I cried my eyes out ,and all of a sudden I was being pulled away from him as I tried my hardest to fight back but he faded away into the darkness.

"Julius!"

I sat up with my hand stretched out.

I had ragged breaths as my chest rose and fell.

I was crying as a layer of sweat coated my forehead.

I ran a hand through my hair as I tried to regulate my breathing .

I blinked slowly. My eyes felt really heavy.

Then it hit me!

Julius! W-where is he!

I looked around to see I wasn't in my room. Heck, I had no idea where I was. The room was beautiful yes but I couldn't recognise it



The room door opened and mother came in with Mom and Mrs Juli.

I sat at the edge of the bed and mom came to me.

"How are you sweetie?"

She kissed my face and I held her hand

"I'm fine mom"

"We were all so worried Vera"

"Where's Julius?"

The three women exchanged looks between each other before they returned their trained looks to me.

"He's fine .
