Jocelyn’s face instantly flushed red. She said stiffly, “Yes, I got it!”

Since she dared to marry Skyler, she had already prepared herself for this.

She was not a woman of loose morals, but she was not a highly conservative woman either.

Since she had become his wife to avoid a disaster, she naturally had to sacrifice something.

However, she wished that that day would come later. After all, both of them were still strangers before today.

Skyler did not say anything on the way. He remained silent even while they were eating.

After eating, Jocelyn suggested that they should leave.

Skyler glanced at her and said, “Regardless of what you intend to do right now, I’ll ask my assistant to fetch you at 7 p.m. Don’t forget that it’s our wedding night tonight!”

Jocelyn blushed and said, “I got it!”

Skyler’s assistant looked at Jocelyn’s silhouette and could not resist remarking, “Not only is Miss Jocelyn White’s name similar to that of Miss Josie Sonnet since they both start from the letter J, but they also look quite alike!”

His assistant was so frightened that he curled up upon himself.

Skyler paused and said, “Besides, their names are spelled differently!”

His assistant had a distraught expression on his face. “President Moore, I shouldn’t have been so talkative!”

Skyler ignored him as his gaze grew heavier. “Follow her. If anything happens, make a move at once!”

His assistant immediately nodded and said, “I’ll do that immediately!”

“Remember that nobody is allowed to bully my people! Do you understand?” Skyler had an icy and haughty expression on his face. He looked as noble as a deity on an altar. Nobody dared to offend him.

His assistant nodded, turned around, and slunk away.

The assistant had just left when Skyler’s phone suddenly rang. He glanced at his phone calmly as his pupils shrank visibly.

“Hello?” Skyler picked up his phone and spoke in a suffocatingly cold tone.

“Skyler, I heard that you got a marriage certificate with someone else?” Josie asked in an upset tone.

Skyler’s voice grew colder. “I said that I won’t give anyone the chance to stand me up for the fourth time!”

Josie’s voice cracked as she broke down. “I already asked someone to explain things to you. There are some things that I need to deal with in F Country. Why can’t you give me a little more time? Is the love between us not more important than your self-esteem?”

“Skyler Moore, you’re way too conceited. Do you really love me?”

While Josie continued shouting at Skyler from the other end of the call, he hung up with a cold expression on his face.

Love? There was love between them, but nobody had ever dared to manipulate him by taking advantage of the love he had for them!

If she dared to stand him up, he could always find another woman to take her place. That way, she would never have a second chance.

The CEO of Oasis Jewelry brought his mysterious new wife to the Civil Affairs Bureau.

Just then, she received a call from Howard.

A mocking smirk formed on Jocelyn’s lips when she heard Howard’s panicked tone. “I’m below the company.”

As soon as she finished speaking, she hung up on the call and walked upstairs.

Howard looked like he had just found his savior the moment he saw Jocelyn. He rushed over, grabbed onto her, and walked toward the venue of the press conference.
