Skyler turned around in shock as he swept his gaze across her like a radar. “Give me information about her!”

The assistant glanced at Jocelyn and instantly knew what her name was. After all, he knew all the renowned designers in the jewelry industry.

The assistant immediately made a call to start an investigation about her. After a while, he received Jocelyn’s information. He handed the information over to Skyler.

Skyler’s eyes flashed slightly when he saw her name. He read out her name while deep in thought. “Jocelyn…White!”

He placed his emphasis on “Jocelyn”. Jocelyn immediately nodded and said, “That’s me!”

Skyler ignored her and fixed his gaze on that photo while he pondered upon it.

Jocelyn White is a designer from Oasis Jewelry. She is the girlfriend of the CEO of Oasis Jewelry, Howard Jung. She designed a jewelry piece that sold well overseas. However, she did not produce any work in these two years.

Was this considered...the death of a genius?

However, among the people related to Jocelyn, her stepsister, Lily White, had won grand prizes several times in these couple of years. Yesterday, she had just won first place in the municipal jewelry competition.

Besides, her design style was…extremely similar to that of Jocelyn White!

Skyler instantly had an idea of what was going on. He had seen all sorts of dirty tricks in this industry.

He glanced at Jocelyn and said, “Alright!”

Jocelyn finally let out a sigh of relief. She was only marrying Skyler because she wanted Howard to regret everything that he had done.

She wanted him to understand that from today onwards, she would not bother to even look at men like him!

Since Skyler was the one registering for a marriage certificate, the employees opened up a special passage for them so that they could do everything smoothly.

While they were signing the documents, the employees of the Civil Affairs Bureau teased them for being a perfect match and wished that their relationship would last for a long time.

Jocelyn blushed shyly after hearing their words, but Skyler simply disagreed with what they said coldly.

Half an hour later, Jocelyn came out of the Civil Affairs Bureau. She was now Skyler Moore’s wife.

She saw Lily and Howard through the glass door of the Civil Affairs Bureau. They were still queueing up in front of the building.

Skyler glanced at her expressionlessly and said, “Get in the car. Let’s have a meal first!”

Jocelyn pursed her lips and said, “Alright!”

As soon as they got into the car, Jocelyn saw Howard walking out of the Civil Affairs Bureau while holding Lily’s hand. He was looking at his phone with an unpleasant expression on his face.

Lily was holding two newly administered marriage certificates in her hands.

Just then, her phone rang.

Skyler glanced at her and gazed outside the window.

Jocelyn opened the camera and took a photo of them both. Just then, she received a phone call. She then continued making an audio recording.

“Hello?”

“Hey, Jocelyn, where are you?” Howard asked in a dire tone.

“I’m at the hotel. Did you need anything?” Jocelyn asked calmly.

“Jocelyn, I saw a media company reporting that I came to the Civil Affairs Bureau just now. They even posted photos. The woman in the photo isn’t you, so they speculated that I’ve betrayed you and came to get a marriage certificate with someone else. This is a massive joke. Don’t ever believe in it!”

Jocelyn’s gaze flashed as she asked, “So who’s that woman? Why are you at the Civil Affairs Bureau?”

“I…She’s just a friend. She asked me to send her over. She’s going to get a marriage certificate with her boyfriend! I was just doing a good deed, but I got into trouble instead!”

“Do I know that friend of yours?” Jocelyn asked coldly. It was as if she were devoid of any emotions.

“She…You’ve never seen her. I was classmates with her boyfriend in university. I don’t know her well!” Howard was still explaining himself with lame excuses.

Jocelyn said calmly, “I got it. I’ll hang up first!”

“Wait, Jocelyn, since you believe in me, let’s hold a press conference in the afternoon to make things clear. Otherwise, the current situation would affect Oasis Jewelry greatly! You don’t even know how badly those foolish netizens have been scolding me. You must stand on my side!”

A sarcastic sneer formed on Jocelyn’s lips. Yes, she should really stand on the side of her traitor boyfriend!

She tried her best to remain calm as she said, “Alright, see you in the afternoon!”

After hanging up on the call, Jocelyn lowered her head silently.

Skyler cast her a sideways glance and asked, “Was that your ex-boyfriend?”

Jocelyn let out a soft hum.

Skyler spoke to her like he was speaking to his subordinate. “I hope that won’t have too many involvements with him after we get married!”

Jocelyn nodded and looked at Skyler calmly. “Don’t worry, I won’t. However, you need to promise me this as well. I want to keep our marriage a secret. You attract way too much attention. I don’t want to receive so much attention!”

“I’ll let you do as you wish!” Skyler seemed to be talking about something completely unrelated to him.

Jocelyn withdrew her gaze and lowered her head. She continued daydreaming.

She thought that given Skyler’s cold and cool personality, he would not continue speaking. However, she did not expect him to suddenly ask her, “Did Lily White use your design drafts in the competitions that she joined?”

Jocelyn suddenly raised her head to look at him. There was an extremely shocked expression on her face. “How did you know that?”

This was a top-secret matter. Nobody knew about it except her and those two scumbags.

Skyler said coldly, “Only fools wouldn’t be able to tell!”

Jocelyn was yet to calm down from her shock. “Really? I thought that…everyone wouldn’t recognize it!”

Skyler did not reply to her question. Instead, he asked, “Do you need help?”

Jocelyn shook her head immediately. “I don’t need help. I can take revenge on my own. However, you need to give me some time. I can only cut ties with Howard Jung after I take my revenge on him! You must believe me. I won’t do anything to betray you!”

Skyler glanced at her with a slightly shocked gaze. He did not expect this woman to be so headstrong. “Since you don’t want me to take revenge for you, what’s your purpose of getting married to me?”

“I need to find another path for myself!” Jocelyn said honestly.

He hummed affirmatively as he started gaining a sense of liking toward her. “I don’t care how you take your revenge, but since you’ve decided to marry me, you must carry out your responsibilities as my wife! Not only do I want you to be my wife on paper…”

The tone of Skyler’s voice remained nonchalant although he was saying such outrageous words. It was as if he were describing how good the weather was today.
