Chapter 6

Skyler picked up the call with a cold expression outside the door. “Hello.”

“Skyler, don’t marry someone else. Can you wait a little longer for me?” Josie asked. From the tone of her voice, he could tell that she had been crying.

“It’s too late!” Skyler’s voice was cold and heartless.

Josie seemed to have been triggered by his words. She roared out in a furious and distraught tone, “Skyler Moore, don’t regret this! I’ll never come back to you for the rest of my life!”

Skyler had an icy and haughty expression on his face. He hung up on the call immediately.

Regret? Hah, regrets did not exist in Skyler Moore’s life.

He turned around and opened the door of the room. He then walked toward Jocelyn, who seemed to be deep in thought. “Are you ready?” He asked her in a deep tone.

Of course, Jocelyn knew what he was referring to. Things that were meant to be would eventually happen. She nodded and said, “Yes.”

Skyler picked her up and walked toward the large bed, which had rose petals scattered all over it.

He placed Jocelyn on the bed. Rose petals fluttered all around the bed.

Jocelyn was extremely nervous. She was afraid that Skyler would view her with distaste if he knew how nervous she was. She simply closed her eyes and hugged Skyler bravely without letting go.

Skyler did not really expect to go to such extents with Jocelyn. Previously, he simply told her such words to test her out. However, Josie’s words made him strengthen his own determination.

After tonight, he will not give himself a reason to look back!

He lowered his head and kissed Jocelyn’s ear lobe.

An odd gaze flashed across Skyler’s eyes. His gaze was extremely dark. “Is this your first time?”

Jocelyn blushed and tilted her head to the side without saying anything. Her voice was as soft as that of a mosquito. “Yes!”

She had always insisted on getting married legally before sharing a bed with another man.

She did not know that in Skyler’s mind, women with boyfriends were no longer virgins!

Skyler raised his brow and forgot everything about Josie’s call. There was a hint of amusement in his voice. “Why didn’t you tell me?”

Jocelyn blushed even furiously. “How can I tell you something like that?”

Skyler was dazed. After that, his lips curled into a cold smile. Jocelyn was right. Nobody would tell someone else about such things.

Anyways, as long as he was not a fool, he would know what to do in such a condition!

He got up and sat down. He was in a pretty good mood. “Take a bath first!”

Jocelyn was a little shocked. Slightly anxious, she blushed and asked, “Aren’t…aren’t we continuing?”

Skyler turned around and looked at her silently. “I need to give you time to prepare yourself well. This isn’t a light matter!”

Just then, he felt a sense of pity toward her.

Jocelyn felt moved for a moment. Somehow, she was slightly touched by him.

The next morning, Skyler was already awake when Jocelyn woke up.

She washed her face and left the room. She then caught sight of Skyler sitting in the living room while watching the financial news.

As soon as Jocelyn came out, he raised his gaze to glance at her. “Come over for breakfast. After that, I’ll send you to the company!”

Jocelyn nodded and had breakfast with him.

She realized that Skyler never said a single word whenever he was eating.

After breakfast, Skyler sent Jocelyn to her company. He then left.

To continue executing her revenge plan, she worked overtime on her design drafts as soon as she arrived at the design department.

In the afternoon, she took a few bites of food and continued working on her design drafts wholeheartedly.

She finally completed her new design draft at half-past three in the afternoon. She quickly made a backup of the design draft on her computer.

After that, she locked up the original draft and placed the backup copy on her desk. She then left her office.

When Jocelyn came back, Lily was staring at her backup design draft with shining eyes.

Jocelyn sneered in her heart. Given Lily’s personality, she knew that she would try to snatch over my design draft for herself as long as it was drawn nicely.

Lily smiled as she glanced at Jocelyn. “Big Sis, is this the design draft that you’ve just drawn?”

Jocelyn hummed quietly.

“It’s extremely well-drawn. The design is simply exquisite. It’ll definitely look better if an actual piece was crafted based on this design!” Lily smiled cheerily. It was as if she were the one who had drawn this design draft.

Jocelyn asked coldly, “Are you alright?”

Lily immediately smiled while she shook her head. “I’m fine!”

As soon as Lily left, Jocelyn received a call from Howard. “Jocelyn, come to my office!”
