CHAPTER 1: She met her gamer childhood best friend

3 years ago had been passed..

Loki almost forgot everything about  her traumatic past. Soon enough, She looked at her mobile phone and remembered it was a day off from her exhausting part-time job. She stood up as if her posture was showing a bit sluggish and yawning. She stretched her both arms and  looked up at the window, as well as the air passing through her short purple hair.

Loki went to the bathroom. She looked forward to the mirror, smiled happily, as if the worst broke up was gone. After Loki took a bath, she did a grooming routine and left her house.

In a few moments, Loki walked in a Tokyo City. Apparently, she saw different people such as lovers, families, and employees. However, the weather of Tokyo City was very pleasant to feel while walking. She leisurely raised her arms, and blinked.

 But in a few seconds, Loki felt a stronger bumped to someone. Then she looked back and lowered her gaze, where she can saw a man with messy light brown hair wearing a white polo, black pants, and black shoes. He could be seen in his slouchy posture while slowly picked up all the papers on the ground.

Loki almost shocked, and sweat, even had a tinge of guilt, whether she would help him or not. She sighed, and went to the man who picked up all the files. Loki apologized and helped him picked up all the papers while she immediately closed her eyes and apologized again for what happened but after she opened her eyes, and held one of the papers. Loki saw a few letters name of a man "N, A, and O". It is shown, Nao is a listed on the certificate who won a game infamous Dark PVP.

Loki stopped and stared at the paper. Just barely looked at the man in front of her, who was busy picked up some papers. She just looked at the paper and him while shivered, and smiled tearfully.

"NAOOOOOOOO" Loki shouted while smiled tearfully

Nao lifted his head and gave a glimpse at her. It's visible that Nao’s eyes were tired. He suddenly curved his lips upward a bit.

"Hey" Nao spoke with his soft voice as he raised his hand a little as  greetings.

Loki stunned when Nao spoke and immediately handed the paper to him. "I'm sorry if I hit you by accidentally" she smiled awkwardly and apologized towards him.

"We didn't meet for one year when I transferred from another University. So do you have a free time for now?... since we met again, I want  to have bonding with you“ Loki  grinned her teeth with a bit of excitement since she was happy seeing Nao again at  unexpected time.

"okay" Nao replied bluntly as an approved response to her question. It can be seen from his words that he is honest and his timid personality had nothing changed since they were in junior high school. If Loki recall their memories when they first met. Nao was sleeping soundly while his hair was dangled in the gust of wind near the window, while Loki was humming in the classroom which was very quiet and no one was left but only the two of them. Loki can feel the nice air inside from outside of the classroom, and she can even saw  some houses far distance from their school.

Loki  amazed at how Nao slept in the classroom even during and after class. She just looked at him straight and  didn’t know how to remind this guy to say their class was over. Loki decided to draw him in his deep sleep. She started to draw in her notebook from the straight vertical line and circular shape pointed for his face and drew some parts of his body. Then she carefully traced some of his figures with her black ballpen which could seen the detailed of his sleepy face.

Loki smiled and chuckled as she measured Nao’s  figure with her index finger from her distance. "Just wait for a while and I'm close to finishing my drawing for you, I'm sure you'll be surprised by my beautiful drawing when you wake up." Loki continued drawing that she was excited to finish. She added highlights to his head where it could be seen a rambled light brown hair with the light rays of sun stroke on him. “Perfect” as she said proudly and compared her drawing to his real figure.

Nao’s atmosphere was very calm while sleeping. Loki couldn’t help herself but look at him because of the attention he was giving its a very smooth sound to their empty classroom.

After a while, Loki approached the chair near Nao’s place and swing her hand on his head, if he will wake up from her Interruption but he didn't feel anything else. Loki just put her drawing which included text on the paper and placed on top of his deck. "sleep well and I’m leaving" Loki said in a calm voice and slowly walked towards to the classroom door and left him asleep.

 Before Loki could leave or slide the sliding door, she heard a voice from a man who was sleeping. He wiped his handkerchief over his eyes and face. He arranged his hair side by side as if he looked like a baby-waking up from a daze.

Nao opened broadened his mouth, yawned for a moment, and spoke with a calm voice "Hey" while he looked seriously at Loki. "Hey" Nao called her again. Loki  stopped nearly the door and he shouted again "Hey" and Loki came back to her consciousness, which she paused from thinking about the past of their first met because of Nao tightened the  gripped on her arm. Loki would had been pretty near on the road if Nao hadn’t stopped her.

"Are you going to kill yourself? You've been unconscious while we were walking ." Nao said with concerned on his face.

Loki chuckled  " HAHAHA  I'm sorry.. I just remembered the  sweet memory from our previous school" while she smiled awkwardly at him.

"Are you okay? Maybe you're sick" Nao  tilted his face while looked at her.

"no, I'm fine" Loki blushed as Nao approached closely on her face. "All alrighty then" Nao  smiled a bit  while his hand was still gripped on Loki’s arms. She just stopped remembering Nao's face where she could seen how cute he looked while asleep. Since she already here now and they’re met each other in unexpected time. Loki wanted to know what’s going on his life while she was gone. Loki offered him by poking his shoulder “ Do you like to drink coffee or hot chocolate on Star bucks?" and she  added a few words "Don't worry, it's my treat" smiled widely and winked at him. Nao refused her offered as they walked into the Star bucks. "I'd rather pay you for a drink than you'll pay for me" Nao spoke softly with no emotion, while he paid the orders the two of them to the female wearing barista uniform at the counter.

Loki just nodded and said excitedly "Next time, I'll treat you a coffee as a thanks."  Nao immediately refused "You don’t have to " as his hand was wrapped around his arm, and he tapped his foot, as if he wanted to say something that he was not prepared, or he was waiting for their order to be given as quick.

After waited a few minutes, Nao’s ordered coffee came and Loki's Hot Choco with icing on top also arrived. Since Loki not fond of coffee drinks and if she drink it, maybe she will be more pressure because of the bitter taste. Back to her consciousness, and she simply pointed her finger to the park by saying to Nao if he wanted to go there and sit while here is too crowded.

Nao just nodded and Loki held his hand by walked fast to the exit door from Starbucks. Loki sighed, placed her hand to her chest and smiled at him. "Wanna go to the park? I hated here inside. it's too crowd. Besides I liked relaxing at the park." Loki winked her right eyes on Nao and gave a cheerful smile. But Nao still the same as earlier, shown no emotion but calm personality.

And Loki thought 'Maybe Nao is a busy person, and that's the reason why he is showing not active personality'

They walked forward through the park and found an empty bench. Loki sat down first and leaned her back as she felt exhausted. Nao also sat very calmly while he watched a fountain in the park , which still kept the running water and kids both played  badminton lively. After a few minutes, Nao just calmly lifted his shoulder to drank his coffee.

Loki placed her hand on the side of the bench, and slowly drank her hot chocolate drink .She kept staring at Nao and the refreshing place of the park . Loki had a random thoughts what Nao was thinking right now. So Loki started talking to stop the awkward silence between them. "The park.. looks somewhat peaceful right, Nao? and kids are enjoyed together when playing badminton.” I wish we could play too if we meet early as a kids." Loki looked at the skies, fountain, and the kids lively played together, seemed like the kids are not a beginner, but intermediate players. Loki guessed those kids was practicing their badminton tournament.

" Yeah, it looks nice. I wonder how would you look like when you were a kid, but I am just a gamer kid in that age." Nao said.

“So how're you doing now for the whole time? " Loki stared at Nao’s face and smiled.

" Hmm I'm addicted "

" With what? " Loki asked

" Dark PVP" Nao plays his fingers over the sides of coffee.

Loki thought that Nao  is addicted from something naughty as she randomly funny thought in her mind

"Hmm.. I wish we could play that too but I'm not the best player as you are" Loki awkwardly smiled and chuckled.

"I think.. you have new drawings, right?" Nao asked while his eyes looked straightened on her as calmly.

"Oh yes! I'm improving now, maybe one day I will fulfill my dream and put yourself as my gamer character" Loki teased Nao and she shown her portfolio of artworks.

"Look! it was all of my characters and this is mine, short dark purple hair, and with the intense look" as Loki pointedly her finger at the proportions of the character.

Loki didn't notice, They were so close, and she could heard Nao’s calm voice speaking. "You are a great artist" Nao smiled at her closely and Loki blushed since she was not comfortable when a man so sweet to her.

After a few minutes, Loki’s phone rang many times and she slowly picked up her phone and stared at all  the new messages arrived. It was all about the two person who was kept texting and asking If they could be her partner on a date.

Loki just sighed "Again and again”. She lifted her hand to signify to Nao "I'll be right back, I will just wash my face because I feel dizzy for a moment" she said while looked as far.

Nao just nodded "ok, go ahead, I'll be waiting here".

"Thank you" and Loki walked forward eagerly and went to the nearest restroom to relax herself. Few moments later, She slowly went out with a dizzy face and stepped outside a bit, but  Loki felt bumped on someone again below her legs. As Loki looked below, a young man with brown hair shown up while kneeling his one leg. "Can you be my partner?" Nao smiled while shown his palm as offered  her to be his partner. And Loki was stunned for a moment.
