CHAPTER 3: A broke up with her ex

Since Loki had her boyfriend. Nao became more listless going to his classes and  couldn’t sleep as he kept thinking of her in a few months. Kept thinking and looked at how happy Loki is, when she had relationship with her boyfriend. Her boyfriend looked like a Senior College Student at their University.

Nao breathe heavily and started searching for his casual clothes. But a picture of him and her shown up suddenly. Loki had a calm expression and smiled lively when she was happy. Their picture shows Loki smiled broadened while her eyes closed, which can be seen her long eye lashes and pose a peace sign. While Nao could smiled a little and showed his poker face expression as usual.

At this moment, Nao closed his closet and looked himself at the mirror then started to grinned his teeth and laughed.

"Nao, why are you laughing there? His mom asked.

" Nothing, mom. I was watching comedy show and can’t help myself laughing "

Nao looked himself at the mirror again.

He guessed, Loki can't looked at him as same as her boyfriend, because of his poker face and his body are not masculine.

Nao started to took a bath for a while. It's been years, since they didn’t talk or hangout together. Almost 5 months Loki transferred in another building at the University and worked as a part-time job after class.

After he took a bath, he wore his casual clothes and went to the kitchen room, where he could told his mom that he’ll leaving for a moment.

"Where are you going?" mom asked

"Tokyo Sunrise Mall"

"Alright, be careful on your way" She pat his head.

He quickly left and rode a bike towards to the Tokyo Sunrise Mall, which the nearest mall here in his town.

Nao arrived at his destination and  entered at the mall, shop for a neat and decent casual men's clothes. He also decided to get a haircut to look more pretty attractive guy.

A lot of girls looked at him after he had a new haircut. So, he went to the place with a fewer people and wore his glasses and  cap.

Nao wasn’t used to seeing him lot of people except Loki.

As Nao walked forward, he saw a familiar figure that same looks with Loki’s partner, which a man flirted by another woman. The two lovers enjoyed holding hands together. So he followed them inside of the pizza hut and ate at the same time. It was relief that he brought much money before he decided to left home.

The two lovers seemed to enjoyed their conversation together. It seemed they looked like a better as a lovers. After they finished their food. Nao still followed them until he saw that Loki's boyfriend kissed that woman. He became stoic and shocked at the moment that Loki’s boyfriend dating with another woman.

"is that guy already broke up with Loki?” Nao mumbled

There is another woman who’s arrived at the moment. She seemed to be looked like a Loki figure. She smiled as  she was excited walking just to see her boyfriend.

But a moment, Loki was startled and her belongings fell on the ground. Loki quickly slapped the woman and said "Why are you flirting him? ".

 "Flirting him? What do you mean?" I've had him for a long time since 3yrs " confidently said by a woman.

 "3yrs?!"

 "Is that true, Jen?" Loki asked with a hoarse voice.

Nao’s heard their arguments and quarrel at the department store. But  he didn’t mind  to get there because he didn’t want to get in trouble with her relationship issues.

"and who are you?" Woman  narrowed her eyes at Loki.

"I've been in a relationship with Jen for a year and a half" Loki shouted with a burst of anger.

"Don't believe in her. She's a liar. Plus I don't even know her. Look , Isn't she desperate to have boyfriend? " Jen said. He  refused Loki as his long-term girlfriend.

 If  Nao recalled the time when he was pretended asleep at the class. He remembered Loki was very happy while seeing a picture of her and her boyfriend together. Loki even proudly shown their pictures at Nao and he only could to supported her relationship.

" See..  You're a liar. Maybe you're just a lost? or This is a prank?" sarcastically spoke by a woman.

"Break up with her, Jen!" Loki insisted while crying.

"Let's break up, Jen" the woman said and walked out at the department store.

"Wait, Cheska!"

"Go with her and I'm enough with this damn conversation" woman pushed Jen away.

Jen approached madly to Loki while he gripped her arms as tightly and said.

"Why do you come here just without my permission? Didn’t I told you never come to my birthday,?. “ and he added “ Let me be honest with you. The truth is... I never love you at the beginning. I just used you to replace her but let's end this. I don't want you anymore. I like women who have strong body, sweet, good -looking, a woman who can beautifully dressed and well-shaped body. While you are just dumb, simple girl, weak, quiet, and worthless. You're really shameful as my girlfriend. It's over now. Our relationship is just a joke."

Loki immediately slapped his boyfriend and throw her gift keychain at him.

"Why did you slapped me?" Jen bursts  his anger.

"You are betrayal! " Loki cried and breathe heavily.

"You're worthless . You're just a simple woman who works while studying and I don't like that kind of woman." he shouted

Jen began to punch her but Nao walked there and went at the front of Loki and  protect her from Jen

"How dare you to hurt your girlfriend. A real man will never hurt a woman though, if she is weak" Nao said with a hoarse voice.

He felt damn and he only could hit from a man, just to protect the woman he loved.

"Tsk.. another bothersome! " Jen muttered and walked away.

However, Loki still ignored Nao and followed Jen and begged to come back with her and she promised to herself, she will change just to love him back.

 "Shut up! I don't want you!" Jen  slipped Loki’s hand away from his arms.

 "B- But why? what I did wrong to you?"  Loki asked while she begged and kept crying.

 " didn't you remember the day that you agreed if I disappear? and you said our relationship is only one year, right?

 Jen walked away after he said those words, while Loki just kept crying .Nao stood her behind and approached her, while he gave her a handkerchief

"Don't cry"

Loki looked at him and kept crying.

  "Nao!, why’s that happened? I never did anything wrong to him but w-why he left me like nothing!? "

Nao just embraced Loki and rain began poured outside at the mall. Nao placed his jacket on her head and held her hand tightly to get inside at the mall. He rubbed her back while she kept crying.

"Forget him "Nao gave her bottled water and kept comforting her. “Here… maybe drinking water would make you feel  better. Cry more until the pain in your heart will gone"

He sighed and mumbled “If I were your boyfriend. I will never make you cry”.

But at the  moment, Nao was also surprised about what he mumbled and  didn't think about the situation.

"Huh?, I didn’t hear what do you say"

Loki looked straight at him with a frown

" Never mind what I said."  Nao felt nervous at Loki's expression.

"I'm leaving, I guess I have to go home "

"Do you want me to take you home? " Nao suggested.

"Hmm…No, I'm fine .."

"But if you wanna come with me and drink soju at the park" Loki smiled as she offered Nao to join with her and held his hand. He felt her hand was soft and held him tight while himself it’s rough and sluggish.

They went to the store with a seller of soju. And Loki still mourned and kept grieve as if she wanted to disappear herself.

Nao suddenly saw the empty table and seats at the Park, and pointed his fingers on that direction.

Loki immediately walked into the direction, and bent her head down and kept mourning.

Nao also sat and he felt pity for her loss but it can't be helped, since he doesn't know how to comfort her.

Loki immediately took the soju wine and drank the whole bottle. She just handed the soju and offered a bottle with him.

"Drink"

Nao drank a bottle as little taste. Meanwhile, Loki was crying and  drinking. He was looking at many people dating and having fun together.

"I don't want to love again. I don't want anymore" Loki complained many times and over again.

Nao rubbed her back and swing his  hand softly on her hair.

"Don't cry, It was just part of our life"

"But why?! am still betrayed?" she asked mad.

Nao sighed and can't say anything because he never had girlfriend or been in love since high school but the only girl he loved and it was Loki. She changed his world where filled with no motivation and colorless. Because of her very beautiful drawing and her short hair, her voice calm and confident personality. His heart began pounded fast and kept following her for the whole time.

Loki fell asleep on the table. Nao could see the tears on her face, reddish ears and cheeks so he just wiped it gently and lifted her up.

Nao stopped for a moment, because he never knew where Loki was living.

"Hey wake up! Where can I take you home?" Nao asked but eventually Loki ignored.

That's why, Nao decided to take her in his home. He positioned his body and lift her up backward ,then her arms wrapped on his neck.

"you stink" Nao said as he kept walking into the direction of his home.

"Don't drink again" he added.

"No! " Loki suddenly spoke and it was looked like she was going to vomit.

"Wait, Loki! don't vomit here, I- I’ll lay you down!”.

Loki suddenly vomited on his clothes.

"Damn! I just bought this clothes earlier. "

"Don't worry, Nao. I’ll pay you.." Loki smiled and took a money from her pocket. "Here’s my 5000, keep the change if that’s too much" She laughed loudly and then fell asleep again on his back.

They're nearly got home in 10pm. Nao’s mom worked at night shift and only came here on 12 noon. Because his mom worked on the office and usually worked overtime.

After they entered Nao’s house, He  just laid Loki on his bed and undressed his t-shirt. Then he went to the bath to removed that stinky smell.

As Nao went to his bedroom, Loki seemed asleep carefully. The smell of her alcoholic drink still stinks on his room so he brought a wet towel and new clothes would’ve fit her. He took off the jacket that he put on her and closed his eyes as he undressed her. Nao quickly put his clothes on Loki that also seemed loosen.

Nao positioned Loki’s body properly on the bed while she just sleep soundly, and he washed her clothes, so she can wear it early tomorrow before leaving.

After a few hours, Nao just laid on the floor and looked at Loki who was fine sleeping on his bed, as if she had his whole bed and hugged his pillow tightly.

Next day, 7am in the morning. As Nao opened his eyes and surprised that Loki suddenly disappeared.
