“I can’t believe that peasant is our mate" I growled, clenching my fists tightly while pacing around the office. 

Kieran just sat on the swivel chair, looking at me with his eyes, half closed.

“Well the moon goddess always has a way of surprising us, doesn’t she?” He reminded me and I just rolled my eyes before sitting down on the sofa and crossing my leg over another.

“We have to reject her,” I told Kieran and he raised an eyebrow at me, shrugging in the process.

“Obviously, because I have no intention of making a peasant my Luna,” He said and I breathed out a sigh of relief, I was nervous originally, fearing Kieran had already taken a liking to her because of how gentle he was towards her in bed.

The Kieran I knew was rough towards women and didn’t give a damn whether they were in pain or not.

“Too bad, she is a good lay after all” He commented and I couldn’t agree any less. I sure enjoyed myself yesterday.

Just then the guards opened the door and in came, our heartbeat.

She beamed at us, twirling around before muttering.

“I hope I am not disturbing anything?” I laughed before standing up to go take her into my arms.

“Of course not, why would you think so?” I asked, as I bent towards her height and pecked her by the corner of her lips. She used one of her fingers to touch my nose.

“Such a naughty boy” she commented, displaying her white, set of teeth at me before getting out of my embrace and walking towards where Kieran sat.

“Good morning to you too” she greeted and Kieran just ignored her, focusing more on the scrolls he was going through. 

He was that cold-hearted. I could tell Lily was hurt by his actions because the smile on her face disappeared.

I felt fury run through me and I blurted out without thinking.

“Can’t you see she is greeting you?” he didn’t even glance at me either but responded.

“And couldn’t she see I was busy?”. Then Lily scrunched her face up before bursting into a wail. 

I hurriedly dashed towards her, wrapping my hands around her waist tightly to pet her.

“It’s okay, it’s okay,” I told her while glaring in the process at Kieran, mind linking him.

“Apologize now” I growled in his head and he finally looked up at her, his face void of emotions, but his eyes softened as he whispered.

“I am sorry Lilly. Way too busy right now”. He explained himself and I felt a little better. Lily stopped weeping and nodded at him before turning towards me and kissing me tightly on the lips.

I reciprocated and we battled with our tongues for a while, until I decided to take it to the next level and moved my hands to grab her butt when Kieran let out a cough.

“You two, should please get a room” He mumbled and I let out a sneaky grin at him.

“If you say so” I acknowledged and made to lead Lily out of the room when she stopped me, before turning to look at Kieran.

“Why don’t you take a break for a while and join us?” She blubbered and Kieran paused in his movements, obviously contemplating her words.

“Tempting but no. I have got to finish this but you two can go ahead and have fun”. He rejected her offer and I thought I saw Lily glare at him murderously but when I blinked, her expression was down-cast.

I felt pity for her and just guided her out of the room, promising myself to cheer her up in bed and not giving thought to what I witnessed earlier. Perhaps I should have.

As we entered my chambers and I made to pull off her top. She suddenly gripped my hands tightly, stopping me.

“Do you think Kieran hates me?” She inquired and I arched my brows at her.

“Of course not, why would you say so?” I threw back a question at her and she pouted.

“Well, he is always acting cold to me as if I offended him or something”. I chuckled at her words.

“Come on. I am sure you know that’s how Kieran is. A cold-hearted bastard who doesn’t show his emotions but that doesn’t mean he does not care about you” I explained but she still frowned.

“Does he act that way towards her?” She asked and I had a puzzled expression.

“Her?”. I was clueless.

“Your breeder” she clarified and a scowl found its way to my face.

“What does she have to do with this?” I demanded, feeling irritated just at the mention of her name.

“Oh! Nothing” Lily grinned and made to get on her knees in front of me, making her way with my trouser but even as she sucked me, my mind was elsewhere and I found myself comparing her to her.

She was inexperienced but took me in better. I decided to get her off my mind, close my eyes, and enjoy this pleasure I was going through.
