I kept tossing around all night long and whenever I managed to close my eyes, all I saw was him. Do werewolves now practice magic? Did he bewitch me?

I raised my hand, prepared to knock again when the door flew open. Mother is standing in her nightie and rubbing her eyes. I felt bad that I had woken her up.

Everyday is hectic for her as the queen and she only gets to sleep for short hours before she has to tend to the village's affairs again. She had constantly told me while growing up that a true queen doesn't sleep deeply, otherwise, her village would be robbed while she is unconscious.
