Surprise!!!

Asher's POV

    Flashback

I excused myself and went out to make a business call, but that Melissa girl kept lurking around and it was irritating, I almost called her on it but I had better things to do than notice her . After the call I came back and realized they had gone. I felt a little bit empty, just looking at the other girl was entertaining, she had different facial expressions for different things. I remember how she took a quiet moan during dinner, to be honest I wouldn't have heard it if I hadn't been observing her closely even without her knowing, she looked so innocent staring at me through her lashes and it stirred something in me. I shouldn't be feeling like this cause I barely know her but there's this connection and it's been a while since I felt it . The last time I felt this way was in highschool but I'll die before I let anyone know and ever since then I've not had such feeling.

I chuckled a little as I remembered her laugh, it was so contagious, it's the kind of laugh you'll want to get back home to hear and this feeling is scaring the shit out of me.

  Back To Present Day

" You need to get this girl out of your mind before it's too late" I thought closing my eyes for a brief moment.

  My phone beeped and I checked the ID before picking.

"Hey man" Ace said from the other end

"Hey what's up?" I asked putting a hand through my hair as I crashed on the bed.

  " I was thinking we should go to the club when I come back" he said making me smile, the club is like his home

   "Well, I'm really exhausted man I don't think I'll have the time next week" I said

  " What is wrong, did you just reject my offer of going to the club? something is definitely wrong so speak up, has a girl captured your heart already ? " Ace asked and I would have laughed in his face if I did not feel attacked right now.

  "I don't have time for this man" I said shaking of the crazy thought that kept coming to my mind.

   "It's definitely a girl" he said again with finality.

   "I'll see you at the office on Monday, you should be back from Italy by then right? " I asked trying to change the topic

   " Yes and don't for once think this is over cause it's not" he said assuringly

   " Bye Ace" I said hanging up before closing my eyes finally

Kayla's POV

Making my way out of the cafe and walked across the street quickly hailing a cab, I felt dizzy so Bella told me to take the remaining day off. The ride to the house was quiet, getting to the house it was worse , I mean the kind of quiet in horror movies, I ignored the feeling in the pit of my stomach and made my way to my room making no noise so that no one will be aware I'm in. Slowly making my way to the bed , I closed my eyes briefly but the sound of clinking heels made me sit up ready to shout at Lissa  if she made the mistake of coming in here but the next sound made me curious, it was the voice of a man,  throwing my legs on the floor , I tiptoed to the door and placed my ears listening to hear anything but it was very difficult so I returned to the bed almost scolding myself for bothering.

"Are you stupid Kayla? , this is your chance of getting an evidence to use against her and you're sitting doing nothing" my subconscious mocked

The voices soon faded, so I opened the door quietly and ran to the other end , hearing voices in Lissa's room, I walked like a spy hiding behind the pillar close to the doors, "thank goodness she was dumb enough to leave the door slightly open " I thought smiling at her obvious stupidity.

" I want to destroy everything about him, he's just a spoilt brat that got everything offered on a platter of gold" I heard a male voice say

" why do I feel I've heard that voice somewhere? "

"And I promise you my dear, you'll get it, you just have to go according to the plan, after I get married to him I'll make him transfer all the money we want and we'll leave here immediately, now all you have to do is try come up with a new business deal or something, ok?" Melissa said

" Ok but now I have to go back to work, I'll see you later dear" the male voice said again making me run to my room as fast as my legs could carry me, shutting the door quietly I locked the door and placed a hand on my chest as I heaved a sigh of relief.

  "Phew! that was a close call, but damn! I thought Melissa was dumb but she's so wicked just like dad and her mom, all this while I was jealous of Harry Potter for talking to snakes but I never knew I'd been doing same all my life" I thought

" Someone related to the Blacks is working with Melissa , this is so bad but who will want bad for the Blacks they're nice people?" I thought to myself.

  My phone beeped and I checked to see a message from Ashley saying to meet her at Glitters tomorrow. I shut my eyes but I was scared shitless, how can people be this cruel?

    I heard the door close downstairs after Melissa had walked down a few minutes ago so I knew the coast was clear and made my way to the kitchen , I decided to make myself sandwiches so I grabbed the ingredients and it was ready in a few minutes. I gobbled down everything as I took a huge gulp of water.

  "You really need to start thinking of moving out of this house cause very soon it will become too dangerous" my subconscious warned me .

     Walking back up to my room, I wore my sandals and rushed out of the house, making anyone suspect me is the last thing I want so I decided to go on a stroll, I came to a stop at the park and sat on a bench taking in the scene of some playing children with their parents and something tugged at my heart, " I can't wait to see my babies playing in park like this one day" . Taking note of every single thing a child did surprisingly kept me calm and took my mind of reality for a brief moment and those were one of my best moments.
