Chapter 99 ~ A confrotation

“What are you doing here?” Zoe fumed as she stood from where she sat.

She was now three months pregnant and still staying in the penthouse Ethan gave her. She had a smug look as she walked towards Rose and rubbed her belly as if to rub it in her face.

Rose ignored her and stepped forward. She knew Zoe too well and on her way here, she had thought through all the possible scenarios of how the conversation would go down but none of them prepared her for how she would feel when she saw the baby growing inside her.

“Is it truly Ethan’s?”

Zoe laughed, “What? You can’t believe it? I told you. It’s me he’s always loved. You were just an inconvenience and now we have been reunited. Don’t tell me you came back because you think he’ll take you back!”

“I wouldn’t dream of it,” Rose responded with an eye roll.

“Good, because I’m starting to think you’re becoming so desperate with the way you’re faking those unfortunate events.” A mockery in Zoe’s tone made Rose boil in anger.

“You think I put m
