Chapter 26 ~ Still loves her

“What are you doing here?” Rose's voice called from behind and Georgina flashed her one of her fake smiles.

“Do I need a reason to see my children?”

Rose snorted at that. She knew Georgina and Jane hated her. They just pretended to be good around her even though they'd slander her behind her back. Three years was a long time for someone to hide their true colors.

“Well, I'm sorry. Ethan has gone for a meeting and I'm heading out.”

“Oh really?” Georgina smiled mischief in her tone. “Where are you going? I heard you visit the hospital quite often these days.”

Rose's gaze landed on the documents and sighed in relief when she noticed they were as she left them. She grabbed them before responding,

“I have allergic reactions. It's nothing serious. I'm sorry but I need to go now.”

“Oh right. No problem, I understand. You know Father gave me an earful this morning about how I should be a better mother.” She leaned closer and whispered, “He has eyes on me you know.”
