CHAPTER 263

~3RD PERSON'S POV~

The branch Mary sat on, snapped, and the sound of the splitting wood instantly pushed Mary out of her reverie. She turned to the branch with shock on her face and quickly attempted to create her magical disc again, but Before she could, the branch completely broke off the tree and fell toward the ground. Mary followed, screaming as droplets of tears rose from her eyes.

The branch crashed on the ground and the loud sound it made filled Mary's heart with even more fear than before. She breathed heavily and more tears left her eyes.

As she got closer to the ground, she shut her eyes, awaiting her doom. She knew there was no more time to save herself, so she accepted the fate that waited for her at the bottom of the tree. After a few seconds, she suddenly stopped moving. She felt two palms holding her up—one below her knees and one on her back.

“Huh?” Mary opened her eyes curiously to see who had caught her.
