ANDREA
"This is so unfair," I whispered to myself as tears slid down my cheeks.I felt my wolf purr as she tried to soothe me. It only made me more agitated. I had finally found my mates, but they didn’t care about me. Oh, they did, but just to cure their curses.I was such a fool to think that they had cared for me at all. They only thought about themselves, and nothing more, but this wouldn’t keep happening anymore. I was going to show them that I was not some foot-mat for their satisfaction, but I had no idea how."Andrea?"I wiped my tears with the back of my hands as I turned around to see the second alpha looking right at me. I knew he was the one thanks to the smile on his face. It was friendly at best, but I knew it was a bit fickle. His grey eyes were turning almost black in the sunlight, and I had to look away as fast as I could, so I wouldn’t get confused with the whole thing. Slowly, I tried to get up, but my knee sunk into the earth, making it a bit difficult to stand."Are you ok?" He asked once more.I closed my eyes a bit. "If you would help me to my feet, I would be thankful," I said instead."Sure thing," he said at once. The next minute, he was around me, and I felt like sliding into his skin at that very moment. The mate bond was becoming stronger by the minute, and it wasn't very pleasant. How could I feel this way for the brothers who didn’t care for me?"Can you stand?" He asked again.I slowly nodded, and he helped me up as easily as if I weighed nothing. Up on my feet, I shrugged his hands off me, muttering my thanks as I walked over to the bench on the side. I needed to sit down for a bit or I might go crazy."I’m sorry I took a pinch of your time second Alpha," I muttered."Don’t call me that," he said softly. I turned to look at him, and he had an impish grin on his face. "I would rather prefer to be called Raul when we are all together. There is no need for excessive formality."Right, so you can put me in trouble. That is not going to happen. I sat down on the bench and I looked right at him. "It doesn’t show respect, and I’m not used to the three of you yet because you all look alike. It’s better to stick with titles."He frowned, obviously displeased with my words as he dusted his hands on his trousers. "I don’t like that. With time, you would be able to tell us apart. It’s honestly not too difficult to do so, but you have to relax.""I will think about it," I said at last.He smiled at that. "Ok, that is better than nothing. If we understand each other more it would be fine."I nodded once and looked towards the flowers at the side. Gosh! Could he just leave? I was so fucking tired of this conversation. It was boring, and it wouldn’t amount to anything, but heartache, and that was one thing that I couldn’t didn’t want. Why does he have to pretend that he cares about me or our relationship?"You know, I thought at some point that I would never meet my mate. I mean, it felt like I had waited for centuries to find you. It was that crazy because everyone we knew found their mates when they were 18, and, here, I was being mateless, and of course, cranky. Trust me, it was a bad combination. But, now, you’re here...""Oh, Moon Goddess!" I exclaimed in a fight.Raul was by my side in five seconds as he touched my back slightly. "What is the matter?""I..." I closed my eyes for a minute and opened it slowly. "I’m not able to talk for long. I feel so cold and weak. Maybe, I should go inside?" I said tentatively."Should I come with you?"My heart skipped at that one question. "No!"He looked at me, slightly confused about my reaction, and it took me a while to realise that I sounded quite harsh. That was not like me at all, but I was not feeling myself right now either."I don’t mean to scream, but I don’t want you to get the cold too. I would just walk to my room, and try to nap. I’m sure that it would be fine by then."Raul frowned lightly. "I won’t get a cold, and even if I do, it would leave as fast as it came. There is no need to worry about that."I rose to my feet then, putting some distance between us as I made a show of cleaning my nose, even when it was not running at the moment. "Please, second Alpha - Raul, let me go on my own. It would make me feel better.""Alright," he conceded.I smiled lightly at him and proceeded to move. But, instead of leaving me like I told him, he walked a couple of distance behind me. Whenever I turned, I found him walking with his hands deep in his pocket. His brows were knitted in concentration as though he thought I would fall or something. It was on the tip of my tongue to ask him why he was acting as though he cared about my health, but I pushed that thought to the side as quickly as it had come. It was useless and baseless right now.We finally got to the door, and I pulled it open, turning a bit to give him a nod. He grinned happily as he moved on. This man was something else, but I wouldn’t be the fool to be deceived.ANDREA’S POV I held the empty plate in my hand, staring at the scrapes remaining underneath. I was not eating like a queen when I used to be nothing but a slave. The fact that things could change overnight was so shocking, and even though life was not at its best right now, I was filled with gratefulness. The urge to wake up so early to serve had fled from deep inside me, and I could stay indoors for as long as I could. I sighed in pleasure, placing the bowl beside me. It was at that moment that a knock sounded at the door. "Come in, please," I said easily. The maid stepped into the room with a smile on her face. "I didn’t mean to distract you, my lady," she said politely. I blinked. "You can call me, Andrea," I said quickly. She shook her head as she clung her fingers together. "I’m sorry, my lady, but the Alpha would have my neck if I make that mistake." "But, we are in front of him," I argued. She smiled then, as though she found me quite hilarious. "You see, if I don’t sta
LUCIAN Ugh! Raul was always so quick on his feet. It was one of his greatest gifts, and it turned my stomach so bad. My fingers clutched to the sides in anger as I watched them both interact. I still wanted to howl to the goddess so bad. She was the cause of all this. If she had given us individual mates, maybe, it would be easier? I had no idea, but I strongly believed that it would have been. I sighed as I watched Raul and Andrea talk like they had known each other for years. She smiled softly, and I wondered if she would ever smile at me that way. I have not dared to meet her since she arrived. I didn’t even know... With a grunt, I turned away from them. If I looked at them more than was necessary, I might go insane and that was the least I wanted to do at this point. I had to be sane for my people, and figure out a way to boost my confidence to speak to her. She was not just another woman, she was my mate- my soul mate. 'Lucian,' Father called through the mind link. Subconsc
ANDREA’S POV Ugh! It was so nice to wander away from the pack, even if it were for a couple of minutes. Whistling, I pulled the door open as I tried to step over the threshold, only for me to bump into a hard male. I almost fell backwards, but this soul grabbed my hand. I gasped as I was pulled forward. My freehand easily rested on Lucian’s hard chest. As his grey eyes settled on mine, I felt my heart skip a bit. "I..." He blinked as he let go of me, and I felt my heartbeat race in awareness of him. I slowly slid my hair behind my ears, scolding myself for feeling the heat of the mate bond. I had to always remember that these boys wanted as a form of bandaid. "I’m sorry," I managed when he wouldn’t say anything. Lucian shrugged in response, his face as hard as ice. "I wasn’t looking where I was going. Excuse me," he said tersely as he made a move to go. I blinked away my shock, as I placed my hand on his arm to stop him from moving. He turned over to face m, his expression unrea
ANDREA’S POVI stared at Meade and remembered all the times that she made my life hell as the pack slave. I knew she was dying to continue the whole thing in the pack house, but it was left to me to see if she could get away with it or not. I didn’t want her to this time. I turned my attention to the rest of the dinning members and straightened up a bit with a smile on my face."Well, I don’t need to choose," I said softly."Says who?" Meade asked coldly.I turned over to her. "Me," I said simply. I enjoyed the way she seemed to blanch at my words, as she stabbed her fork into her plate. "The goddess has blessed me with three men, and I wouldn’t change that for anything, because they are all mine," I sassed. There were whistles around the table, and I turned to see Alpha Ian smiling at me softly. I smiled back as I clasped my hands in front of me. "I thank the goddess that she gave such a smart woman to my sons. Andrea said it right, and there is no need for further conversations on
LUCIAN’S POV I pulled my door open and the first thing I saw was a beauty staring right at me. Andrea was looking at me coyly as she held a tray up. I couldn’t see most of the outfit, but I loved the way the shirt seemed to flay around her body. "What are you doing here?" I asked as I mentally shook my head. She swallowed and I noted the blush she had on. "Well, I thought that we should eat breakfast since the dinner date didn’t quite work as planned. But, this is probably the wrong time to come in here, so I would take my leave." "No!" I cried at once. She lifted a delicate brow at me, and I simply moved out of her way, noting the way her eyes seemed to follow my chest hair. I wondered vaguely what her wolf thought of me. Did they excited? If they did, then, it could be easier to get her to free me of the curse. Andrea tore her eyes of my chest as she walked further into my room. Her eyes noted the dark wood and brown carpets easily. Everything about me was dark, and I didn’t i
ANDREA’S POV I slowly walked out of the room, closing the door behind me. And, took four steps down so they wouldn’t have to note my scent inside. I was pretty sure that they were up to something, and it was my duty to find out what. 'You’re only going to succeed in hurting yourself,' Kezav informed me softly. I closed my eyes lightly as I touched my lips lightly. 'I have gotten severely hurt already as my own mates see me as a prey and not someone with a sou. If I don’t fight them at every turn to preserve my heart, then, I fear, I might not be able to stand in the the test of time.' 'But...' 'Let me listen to their scheming, Kezav. It wouldn’t be repeated if lost.' My wolf sulked into silence and I sighed a bit. She was all for the romance, but there were serious issues that had to be solved. I had been a slave, and I knew what it was to fight for survival like it were your last. Nothing would change that. "We should test this on her by taking turns to kiss her," Nikolai was s
ANDREA I slowly made my way through the passage to the first garden where I was told that Brody’s mother was waiting for me. I had no urge to go over to where she was, but it was not something that I had been given an option in. There was a coronation to plan. I bunched my clothes carefully with my fingertips as I moved. The gown I wore was tighter than normal today. My maid had informed me that since I would be meeting the Beta’s wife, it was important for me to look ravishingly beautiful today, and I would do well not to forget that. So, here I was, hurting down the path, hoping I wouldn’t fall flat on my face. At the edge of the door, I noted that Brody’s mother was chatting with another woman. It had to be the fashion designer. I had not seen her before, but I held tales of her, and they weren’t good at all. She was so condescending to people and no one in the pack was taken to her. I honestly hope that she won’t dampen my mood this morning. It would be a disaster. "Good day,"
NIKOLAI With my hands stuck deep in my pants, I made my way down the path to the pack house, hoping to numb every of the thoughts in my head. It was at that moment that I noted Aurora standing in the middle of the path, looking lost. I turned towards the direction she was looking at, and saw the ball move right at her. Without thinking twice, I moved to her direction in rocket speed, pulling her to me, and closing my hands against the ball. My hands held her close in that moment and I simply couldn’t breathe. She was just too cute. A series of 'sorry’s' could be heard behind me, but I didn’t pay attention. "Are you ok?" I asked softly. She lifted her head from my chest and looked at me. Her eyes were wild in shock, and I could tell that she couldn’t quite believe what had just happened. Her lips opened to speak, but no words came out. I resisted the urge to peck her on the forehead, and slowly released my hold on her. "Kids, you should leave," I ordered the gamers, throwing the ba
