136, INTERROGATION

I growled as I paced the small length of my office in rage. The day was going slower than I had imagined, and Raul was not here yet with the criminal. If the bastard has escaped one more time, then I don’t know what I would be able to do.

The last thing that I wanted was more stress, and no one could make me experience that for as long as I lived. They couldn’t make me feel all the pain in the book, no matter how hard they tried. I wouldn’t let that happen.

"Be calm," I admonished myself for the billionth time.

With a sigh, I turned away from the door and moved over to the desk, sitting down with my hands on it. The way everything had played since I had come back was too weird, and that poor woman dying like that in her home made me so annoyed.

My people trusted that I would keep them safe, but the Blue Moon Pack were snuffing out their lives like it meant nothing. How long would they bear that? Oh, goddess!
