What I wanted to do was pull Ashley into my arms and kiss her passionately.

I checked the heater, then I realized it was broken. I sighed in frustration and turned to look at Ashley. She bent over and buried her face in her thighs.

I tried to think of a way out. The only way to keep Ashley warm was to hold her in my arms. I went over and sat beside her.

“The heater is broken,” I said and rubbed her shoulders slowly.

“Mind if I hold you?” I asked.

I reached out and held her arm then she raised her head and looked at me.

I spread my arms before her, “Come on. You can snuggle into my warmth. As soon as the rain stops, we will go back to the palace and get you properly covered.”
