I watched as Ashley strolled into the field for practice. She never came late and she always looked like she had her life figured out. With a stupid smile on her ugly face.

But today, she was late for practice and she looked sad. It only meant one thing, the princes had not settled their dispute yet.

As Ashley left the field, head bowed, hands swinging slowly, I rushed to her.

“Hey Ashley,” I smiled, “I guess one of your Alphas is waiting for you,” I ensured the smile didn't leave my face.

She turned, she looked like she was close to tears.

“Hey, what's wrong?”

“Nothing.”

“Come on. I noticed you were dull during practice and I just assumed you were not in the mood for it. But seeing your face like this? No, no, no, this is beyond practice stress.” I said moving closer to her.

“You should not bother about me, honestly. I'm fine,” she said, trying to force a smile.
