ASHLEY

The scent of damp earth filled the air as I wandered through the forest. My wolf was restless. She pushed against the thin strength of my human control.

I had always followed my mates around. We were seen together, especially during lunch breaks. But now, I was alone. I did not even know where they were and I did not want to know. I had felt their presence when I walked towards the cafeteria. I decided then to turn around and spend my break elsewhere.

As I strolled into the forest at the back of the school, their scent grew fainter with each passing minute.

My heart ached with loneliness. I missed my alpha princes, their laughter, their touch. But I knew that I had made the right decision. Their rivalry was tearing the family apart and it would soon start to affect the entire pack. I could no longer allow myself to be caught in the centre of their war.
